I thnk I can take those pics, I have to do some straightening on the pieces that connect to the box, I beat them up pretty bad when I took the bed off.

    Static timing question

You really cannot trust those marks, at 175k miles I doubt it is the original IP and the replacement would have different marks.

To update this, I made a decision and pulled the trigger. I went ahead and got new wheels as well as tires. American Racing Outlaw II 8" with the Mud Terrain 255/85/16 tires. I can live with it like this. Thanks to everyone who pitched in with advise.

Window motors, any good sources or all junk?

Crap, I had hopes of taking the rear door motors out of an Explorer and trying to fit them.

    fuel filter housing.

I am actually about to tackle my leaking filter housing. I am leaning towards taking the stock one out. There is a dizzying array of options out there for filters. I have seen where people have mounted them to the frame but they hang too low for my liking. I have two inline filters between...

    My new Shop Truck

I had a VW diesel truck for a service vehicle back in 1983, I loved that little thing, I wish I could find one that wasn't completely trashed. Looks like you are off to a nice start, I am looking forward to more.

Yes, SRW, 4x4, D60 up front. I have never got stuck with 235's even with our black clay soil so the extra wide tires are not a benefit for me. I think the 255/85's will win out, 33.1" and they will fit my stock wheels.

Great looking truck Chris! Those 32's look awesome.

Changes in diameter or width can increase turning radius, simple physics, but it isn't always noticeable but it is measurable. The CCLB already has a very large turning radius so any increase is noteworthy.

    Dreaded tire sizes

Mine is the CCLB also, I don't really want new wheels but I may have no other choice. I am more of a fan of the narrower tires than the wider ones. How much did the 285's affect the already abominable turning radius?

Those look great! How are you liking the Wranglers?

Thanks, and yes it is a D60. I am not trying to go much wider but taller to drop the rpm's a little on the highway. The 285's lok too wide on the specs but Carrasco's pic of his 285's doesn't look too wide.

The only tire they show in that size now is the mud terrain t/a. It may work for my needs, the truck never goes on long trips and is used in a mix of off road and on road.

Would you happen to have a pic of how the 255's looked on the truck?

    Dreaded tire sizes

The 255/85's look like a good size, just lacking in buying options. I am not sure the 285's would fit the stock rim very well. I appreciate the thoughts, gives me something to work with.

    Dreaded tire sizes

i am due for new tires on the 94, still using the stock wheels and 235/85/16's and am curious if there is a slightly taller tire size I can use that will not require a lift and will not rub. I thought I could figure this it but I am having analysis paralysis. Current stock size is 31.7" and I...

No hijack, I already have most of my components. I am thinking of putting the Polks in the rear doors.

If you have a chance, a pic would be great. If I understand you, the subs are actually under the seat and the box behind the seat makes up the needed air volume?
  22. SirRea63l

    Speaker sizes

I don't think I will be fitting a 12" sub under the seat, not much room with the funky shape floor pan. I may have to build a behind the seat box, I really have putting a sub there though. I did order a pair of these, great price and these things reproduce vocal ranges amazingly. I have to...

Thank You Gentlemen. I think I am going with some Infinity Reference 6030cs up front, my MB Quartz 6.5 free air mid base subs with adapter plates for the rear. I think I will have to build a nice under rear seat box for the JL 12" sub. That should make a clean setup. I am surprised the rear...

I am going to redo the window motor gear stops on the 94 soon and will also change out the stereo system while I have the doors apart. I am getting conflicting information on the front door speaker size, Crutchfield is giving me both 5.25 and 6.5 speakers, Sonic says 6.5 front? I am sure...
