Just picked up my re-surfaced flywheel and new 14" pull type clutch kit. Also grabbed new shift fork bushings, alignment tool, pilot bearing. Yesterday my Kit to convert the RT-6610 into an RTO-6610 showed up along with the 1.75" shaft and pull collar for the transmission... SO Its almost...- ocnorb

http://www.inforanger.roadranger.com/epc/index.asp Use that link to find the parts breakdown, then order from a distributor. Call around as there is quite a mark-up and some guys have wayyy better pricing for average Joe... The OD kit is K-2019. The 1.75" input shaft is S-1255.- ocnorb

The plunge has been taken now... just ordered a kit to turn my RT-6610 into an RTO-6610 along with a new 1.75" input shaft, a 14" pull type clutch kit, release arm bushings and a new pilot bearing. Deadline for completion is June 1st... Maybe we should move this over to conversions?- ocnorb

They range from 170 to 300hp depending on the configuration. This one is a 210hp. The torque these make is the real reason to use one. My goal is 300Hp and 750 ft/lbs of torque. Should pull anything I ever hook up and still be dead reliable. My truck and trailer are 20K. These motors are...- ocnorb

We're about to find out... In all seriousness, I may have to do some 'custom' work to keep the defrost and heater ducting going where it is supposed to. The quality of those customizations will determine how well this whole idea turns out.- ocnorb

I will be using an RTO-6610. SAE #2...supposed to bolt right up. Will have to do divorced transfer case, but have not figured out which one yet... somehow my 205 seems too small now.- ocnorb

Started my DT360 swap yesterday
Not sure if the gap would be a big deal, but going to a 54 with one tooth removed is a cog every 3.33 degrees. The stock set-up is looking at a cog every 3.396 degrees. Off a little... but maybe not enough to worry about.- ocnorb

Summit has the Painless wiring harness for the CRD dodge swap for about $1000. There is a burned down '05 near me for $5500 that is stripped down to the frame, so I looked into this option. Swapping the entire CRD drivetrain and then the wiring would put you at least $7K. A little too rich for...- ocnorb

I set mine up to spray at 90 degrees to the flow of air in the hopes that it would get the best distribution across the motor that way. Mine uses one of Russ' (type4) elbows for the intercooler, so it was pretty easy. Looking at my old snail I think I would drill it right below where the...- ocnorb

Right into the "snail" or as close to the intake as you can get it. I chose to put the shut-off solenoid as close to the nozzle as possible to prevent any chance of siphoning which could result in hydrolocking and damaging your motor.- ocnorb

About 6-7 psi. That way it didn't use any meth cruisin' around. Only came on when you got on it or was towing.- ocnorb

I think the big danger is peak cylinder pressures go way up as you add more meth. Stay conservative and stud your motor before pushing it hard is my .02 cents. My system works great and the EGTs all but stop climbing when it kicks in. Its a shame I didn't get the studs done before I...- ocnorb
