    ATF in a PSD

You'll be good to go with clean ATF, I've run 25K miles on an ATF/waste motor oil mix with no ill effects. Since I've run over 1k gallons, I can't see a few ounces causing harm.

    Collection Pump?

Back then I was running a 3/4" hose. I've since learned from that and now use a HF gas powered water pump that I picked up for $100. This is only about $10 more than what I had in the barrel pump setup although the hoses did run another $65. This setup is WELL WORTH the extra money since I don't...

    What color is your WMO?

I made it the last 600 miles without any problems and since I was out of the rolling hills and more on gentle hills and flats, managed 15 mpg at ~71 mph. The truck ran pretty well, my fuel psi stayed within the safe zone 35<x>65, and aside from a warm up period at the beginning of the day, the...

    What color is your WMO?

Well I'm 800 miles into the trip and ready to head back home and so far, so good. I'm running the mix with about 10% diesel added in, running between 73-75 mpg, and getting 14 mpg (pulling a 1K trailer) so I can't really complain. That's also with 7 people inside the truck and all of our gear so...

    What color is your WMO?

Bad WMO is the cause of the problems but they're minor ones and will be cleared up once I go back to my cleaner mix. WMO as a fuel source is, and has been, a great option for me but in future, I'll stay away from trying to "cure" any milky oil that comes my way.

    Quick wmo q

This is great advice, we're decently active in that sub-forum and can answer all your questions. Do a search first though, you'll find that your scenario has already been answered.

    What color is your WMO?

There were three of them, a P1211, a P1316, and I can't remember the last... IIRC, the third one also dealt with the IDM or ICP...basically they all deal with injectors or the injector driver module. I did replace an injector shortly before using this fuel but since I'm not showing any added oil...

Has any one heard about Obama's wanting to stop the oil burning for fuel

How so, explain? Or better yet, post sources corroborating the 1 box of ammo per year rule... If you can't or won't, then explain how an example of using something that isn't true to elicit a response based on fear, is not fear mongering. If I'm missing something or off base, please...

    What color is your WMO?

Well, I'm gearing up for the 1200 mile trip (leaving Thurs night and returning Sun night) and this fuel continues to be a poor performer for me. I put about 37 gallons of the suspect mix in my tank Sat night and right away on Sunday morning while driving to church I could tell that it was down...

Has any one heard about Obama's wanting to stop the oil burning for fuel

It appears that you're in agreement with Obama since he's saying precisely the same thing, i.e. When foreign countries control our fuel sources, they have control over us. As for the new ammo law that you're mentioning, I have NEVER heard of the one box of ammo per year rule being discussed...

Has any one heard about Obama's wanting to stop the oil burning for fuel

I read up on the articles and your information appears to be inaccurate, here's a link but feel free to find more on your own. http://www.caller.com/news/2013/mar/15/obama-wants-research-wean-vehicles-oil/ 1) "Obama is trying to get congress to pass new regulations prevenmting us from using...

New user intending to burn WMO WVO and anything else flammable.

Hey Josh, welcome to the board and the world of WMO! :) Your setup sounds like a good start, mine was similar to that when I ran WMO in my IDI. Searching the site will be your friend, there's several people that talk about their setups, what they'd change, effectiveness, etc. As for running...

WMO filtration system on the vehicle?

I thought the same thing about the truck shaking and mixing things up but when I tried it, I found that as long as you were on normal roads and not jumping in Baja, stuff would still settle out. The other thing I found was that if you parked overnight, let the water settle, and had a clear...

WMO filtration system on the vehicle?

I was filtering on board when I was driving my box truck around the country, the first tote was for oil collection and settling and the second was for the final product. You could scale it down and accomplish the same, you'd probably have to mount the tanks onto slides so that you could slide...

    What color is your WMO?

I'd be amenable to paying a fair price but for the few sources I've uncovered recently, they're asking for upwards of $1.25/gallon and won't guarantee there isn't water in it! Maybe they think it really is black gold but by the time I de-water, filter, and add the RUG, I haven't really saved...

    What color is your WMO?

Just an update that it didn't make financial sense (the icky fuel mix might've cost more than the 24 mpg van) or time (we were on a tight schedule) sense to drive the truck so we took the Odyssey instead. The truck will be used on local trips to try and use up the rest of this troublesome...

Just received my centrifuge in the mail!

Sounds good to me too, the only thing I would change is to put more than 5 passes through your centrifuge. My minimum is usually 8 and if I'm not in a hurry, will let it go for 10+ passes. With that many passes, you'll completely remove the variable of contaminated oil and get a little longer...

    280,000 too many?

In my neck of the woods (NY and NC), that's an ok deal at all, but definitely not good or great. I'd keep looking....

    What color is your WMO?

Oh and my oil has been sitting for 6 weeks in freezing cold...I'm going to drain the holding tank from the bottom (water goes to the top in freezing conditions) in hopes of getting some water free oil.

    What color is your WMO?

This Friday I'll be on a 3K mile trip and try to use up the last of this batch, my trailer will be much lighter and I have plans to change my Turbo wheel midway so hopefully my MPG will jump back up there. I plan to run about 30-35% diesel mixed in, I'll let y'all know how it goes. After...

    new vegetable oil

The easiest answer is to measure the viscosity of diesel vs the viscosity of your mix. Once you get close, you oughta have a safe % to start with.

    WMO processing set-up

I'm betting that your fuel pressure rose because of the leftover diesel that was in the tank mixing with your WMO. Usually when you fill your tank the WMO will go to the bottom and any residual diesel will sit on top. After a little while though, it'll mix in and reduce the viscosity which'll in...

My first filtration rig... wmo processor

I'm on the other side of the fence and I like it, it sounds like it's a well thought plan of making do with what you have. As for being illegal, there's nothing illegal about carrying a drum inside of an SUV, whether it's horizontal, vertical, or diaganol. As for being pulled over for it, I...

    WMO processing set-up

FWIW, I pulled my PSD injectors after 14K miles of WMO and didn't see any coking or strange residue and I'm running the same types of mixes as you. As for your fuel pressure, tired mechanical lift pumps do not like WMO or anything thicker than diesel, at all. Electrical pumps either for that...

Starting to build my wmo collection/filtration setup .

I'm try taking the pump apart and make sure nothing was inadvertently sucked in there, it sounds like there's a restriction someplace more so than the inlet pipe diameter being too small.
