Can I use WMO on my 2007 3500 Dodge diesel

I'm not calling you a liar, but can you cite some proof of that?

i haven't experimented too much because my current mix is working pretty good and i'm on the road but i am curious if reducing gas and use kero in it's place would bring my mpg up a bit. I don't have any log numbers of diesel miles per gallon but if I remember correctly it was closer to 8. on...

    wmo trips

Right now we're in West Palm but are basically driving the perimeter and will be in the Tampa area in a few more days. I'm willing to back track a bit if need be though. Thanks for the generous offer!

Thanks, I might just take you up on that! How far are you from Grand Junction? I'm planning on Moab for hiking and then GJ for the hot soak.

do you mix unleaded gas into your oil to help it settle or do you just centrifuge it?

    pumping wmo

if you are making a big enough batch of regular oil, you can use gear oil with no problems. on my modified chevy oil pump, I am now moving about 5 gallons per minute and have about 40 dollars into set up. The trash pump sounds interesting, it sounds like you're moving about 25 gallons per...

    wmo trips

I am in the middle of a long trip right now, so far I have ran about 2500 miles on mostly w 85. I had a lift pump go out about 1500 miles into the trip but I think that was because it was old. the new 1 gave up also but that was because of an install error, I pinched the gasket. this is in a 26...

    Odd Running Question

Just to rule out the lift pump, I'd check the pressure at the filter and make sure your pump isn't on it's way out. The other fuel could just be a coincidence.....I've been thrown off by stuff like that before.

    Wont start!

Something doesn't sound right, it's probably that I'm not followng you completely. 1) You pulled the starter and it works so that tells us the starter isn't the problem. 2) You tested the ignition switch and it sends power to the starter (did you test this at the starter or up by the switch?)...

    Wont start!

Have you tried jumping the starter? It could be that your starter has failed, if it doensn't jump with 12v applied then you've fixed your prob...

    pumping wmo

Not directly on topic but I just finished modifying my melling pump last night...I drilled and tapped a new outlet port, tapped the inlet port (both 3/8 NPT), removed the pressure spring and bushing and tapped that hole (the idea being adjustable pressure by loosening the screw), and tapped and...

    IDI Fuel Lift Pump Alignment

I just put one on the other night when i was stranded in a parking lot. The install instructions that came with it were pretty good (Advance) and I just angled the arm under the cam. It was the first time I'd ever done one and it only took about 45 minutes, not that long at all.

    85 F250 6.9 NA Issues

I'd check the fuel pressure, see what the gauge is reading, and then compare it against the specs. If your fuel pressure is good, then the logical problem seems like it'd be the IP. I think swapping for the one in your other truck would rule it out since you know that's a good IP. I'd also be...

    85 F250 6.9 NA Issues

My guess would either be a bad pump or air in the lines. Or maybe the pump is putting air in the lines. I think your best bet is to start at each part that it could be, check it thoroughly, and move down the list. When you try and restart it, does it sound like it's getting fuel or is just...

    ats non wastegated turbo kit

I'm new to the turbo's so my question is probably an easy one, will this fit on a 7.3? I have a 1989 Uhaul S1600 that I'm planning to turn into a camper and take on an extended trip. In current form I'm only getting 8mpg and think a turbo might bump that up a bit. What do you think?

    Best Bang for the Buck

What about a retired Uhaul 26' box truck? It runs a 7.3 N/A IDI but once you pull the box, shorten up the frame, and possibly add a sleeper, you'll have a MDT that'll pull 10K lb all day long. If you don't like that route, there's plenty of MDT's out there in the DT466 variety that'll also...

    85 F250 6.9 NA Issues

I'd say to give pull starting a try, especially since you have the other truck now. If you've got air in the lines, pull starting in 2nd gear is a surefire way to get it going.

    Biggest load with IDI

FWIW, I have an 88 26' Uhaul (about 11.5k empty) with the 7.3. I've never tipped the scales (loaded) at less than 26.5K and that was on a trip from MI to NC through more than a few mountains. Truck pulled fine and even though I didn't have 4th gear (Spicer tranny needs a rebuild), I kept it in...
