New engine, no oil pressure please help

Got the plugs in, fired her up, got to a nice 50psi on cold idle then suddenly dropped clear down to 10 psi.... This truck hates me... If one of those plugs pushed out we'd back to zero right? Maybe now the pressure regulation valve is pitching a fit?

New engine, no oil pressure please help

So this engine before we tore it down for the rebuild was running in a truck and had a mechanical oil pressure gauge plumbed to the factory sender port just like we are trying to do and it read 40 psi cruising down the road at normal op temp. So it has to be something that happened during the...

Well we tried changing to a known good oilcooler thinking maybe the bypass valve or pressure regulator valve werent working, but that didn't change anything, so our next step i guess is pull the pan and see what we can see

New engine, no oil pressure please help

Yeas we are using an aftermarket mechanical gauge, we had the oil line off of the gauge and sitting in a bottle to catch the oil as that's what i did when I built the engine for my truck and worked well, but we got no oil coming through the line at all
