    ATF and Diff oil recommendations

Have done significant research on the gear oil topic, hands down, as far as lab tests go, amsoil severe gear 75-140 is the best gear oil made. I don't think it out right lost a single catagory, and did outright win most catagories. I've read studies from several independent firms, not some...

Anyone put both batteries on one side?

Definitely things have changed then. When I was working at an optima dealer, half of the batteries on the shelf were already dead, and the other half came back in 6 months. That's with proper charging/maintenance. As all things go, I would imagine some cost cutting took place at the expense if...

    No front brakes

Also, have you considered that the rear is just locking? It's unusual, but entirely possible. As well as timely considering your front just locked up

Anyone put both batteries on one side?

How long did they last? I've never seen redtops last longer than a year under real use. I'm sure they are out there, and the size sure helps with this issue, just never found them even slightly reliable

    Ac compressor clutch cuts off

Might try finding the problem first, it may save you some cash. Have you tried applying power/ground directly to the clutch to verify that the issue is not elsewhere in the system?

Good it wasn't your fault, always hate to see another Ford take the kit though

    Odd issue came up

Could be one of a few things in no particular order - rear vss sensor failure (and or gap incorrect due to rust. - psom failure - wiring between the two failure - very bad u joint/anything that would cause major driveline vibration - tone ring issues (missing teeth, warpage, list goes on)...

    Ac compressor clutch cuts off

Excellent point, should've mentioned this as well. My high pressure switch on a 95 psd I've got would do this exact thing. I could watch the compressor "cycle" out of sync with gauge pressure and cab temps and sometimes it was short cycling and other times long cycling. Bumped the high side...

Flushing rust/buildup from radiator, thermocure experience?

I've used it once on a 302. Worked great when used as directed. It's a chelation agent, so it can even be reused, and it totally safe. Took a very very rusty system and turned it clean with a little patience

    Ac compressor clutch cuts off

While he is of course low on freon, he said he jumped the high and low switches. In these systems, that should eliminate anything but a clutch failure/ incorrect air gap. I imagine however that he likely only jumped one switch at a time, allowing the other to cause cut-out. Always start by...

    Low pressure oil delay

Yeah maybe more likely, but if it's flowing so fast that the hpop reservoir emptys, I could see a 4 second fill time delay. Air tests never hurt for sure, but always just pull the dipstick first lol. Had a buddy with a 7.3 psd chase his tail for over a month with scan tools and research and...

    Front End Alignment Question

Sounds like your on the right track so far. I mean the 235/85 naturally have a ballooned wear pattern on the dually width rims anyhow ,so they exacerbate undetectable levels of imperfection. All you can do is keep an eye out, and if need be you can always request certain specs on your alignment...

    Low pressure oil delay

Also check your oil level, it could be burning some through several areas, as well as new underside leaks. Low oil level would do that too Another thing to consider, oil rail plug o ring failure.

    Front End Alignment Question

Op did mention they gave him the full spec sheet, so even if they didn't have to adjust, surely he could see all the measurements, as well as allowable limits and how close it was to perfect. Honestly though if the picture posted above is how "bad" it is, I would just look at more frequently...

    Oilburners 2019 Gatlinburg Rally

The rain may not be constant, but the humidity is, I truly hope it's not a shock to you guys haha. I'll plan on bieng in Gatlinburg earlyish in the day, but I'll swing by the campgrounds around 3ish once everyone starts rolling in, be great to meet you guys

    Getting hotter and hotter

That's a great filter for sure, I've used them in the past, and especially when compared to the options that are listed at a parts store. But even at nearly a foot long and 15 micron absolute, that wix thing was a whole different level. Where the Donaldson is almost a foot and about 4" dia, the...

    Oilburners 2019 Gatlinburg Rally

As for weather, bieng very local and planning to meet you all there, it's unbearably hot, humid, and raining on and off. As per the norm this time of year. Plan for short/light clothing and time for showers. You will be sweating if you plan on existing outside

    Getting hotter and hotter

@BrianX128 , I often forget that idi's and psd's won't clear the same filters haha. A 7405 goes right on a psd, as does an lf9691 (my filter of choice), neither of which will clear the oil pan or frame on an idi. The reason I was curious is because the wix 51792xe has the correct thread...

Don't mean to off track, but what adapter did you find to remote mount your oil filter? I've been looking high and low and cannot find one that has the correct 1"16 tpi thread pattern. Any help much appreciated

    Tire balancing beads

100%. It would be very bad not too haha. I think a major producer (equal? Been a while since I looked.) has a YouTube video of the concept behind them if your curious.

As for wiring if you did leave it up front, yes, just remove the wire that runs to the driver side tray near the rad.

    Tire balancing beads

I wish I could say there was. I dealt more with equal, but it was a crapshoot regardless of brand.Sometimes it was a huge improvement, other times it was a definite flop. Best you could do is try it, I know it can be expensive, but it's cheaper than those balance plates that go behind the wheel...

    Tire balancing beads

As for beads, it's all brand dependant. Some want the bag thrown in on purpose, some want special valve cores, and all vary based on size, profile, and Id vs od. I.e. a 33x12.5x22 won't use the same as a 33x12.5x15 depending on manufacturer of the beads, and they all ride a little different too...

    Tire balancing beads

There are different size stick ons if you really wanted to avoid beads. Low laying 1/4 oz weights are less than a 1/16th tall, are the wheels that close?
