Coil sprung super duty 60 (all coil sprung models are 60s) are what I was referencing that i paid $255 delivered. My truck is going to be a daily driver as well. Done right, an obs super duty coil sprung truck should perform better as a daily driver than a super duty because of the lighter...- BR3

I've got an extensive write up I will have to do, but long and short of it is I've got a coil sprung 60 going in, with 6 inches of lift that axle swap related cost only (front end) will have me at $555. I'm not a hundred percent sure that they actually have different unit bearings, because I am 100 percent sure that the only thing I need to go from a single axle to a dually in the front is the spacer that bolts on it from the factory. found those already. Good to know about the yoke. Maybe...- BR3

As for hood temps with no insulation, this was my solution. I have no way of telling how much good its done yet, as my truck has been immobile for a couple of months for various reasons (mostly super duty axle swap and lift) but it is all aluminum and I made sure the hole is sizeable...- BR3

Right, i can see where on the vent setting it would do that. Guess its just not enough to keep the minimal temperature difference from the outside air staying cool as it cools off the first contact surface of the insulation on puny old r3. And boy do I know the importance of more r's. Did...- BR3

Bill, I'm curious as to what led you to The conclusion that your insulation was heat soaking. That would mean the manufactures rating of r3 I think per layer was false. (Not that i would ever argue against false advertising haha), but for that value to be assigned even in a perfect world, there...- BR3

If i may ask what did you guy's pay for your truck or 7.3 or 6.9 powered vehicles?
Traded an 86 460 truck ($1000 invested the total) for a "non running" 92 with 260k miles. I don't have the original pictures of the rolled on black house paint and blue seat in red interior, and no picture would ever give a discription of the smell that it had, but I had it driving the same day...- BR3

Yea that building is a pretty cool sight. Apparently they actually have grass growing and bees on top of it now. Its a regular farm on the rooftop of a building downtown and it's very similar to what I did as far as my insulation goes I used regular pipe insulation( closed cell foam) on every...- BR3

Oh, and I don't know what cpdenton on used, but I used the foil backed foam tape double layered. Super easy to install on solid parts, and works great. For the lines rubber pipe insulation works great too Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk- BR3

That reading was taken at fan speed 4,truck speed 70. Actually had no idea that just the little silver scent warning would acid up like 134a. Every side affect of acid I was aware of due to the fact its the same from 134a and the function/build of the sanden compressor. I'm defiantly going to...- BR3

I'm currently running a well insulated and heater cut offed system with strait camping propane. Blue orifice tube and all, new compressor, accumulator and well insulated, I've managed to pull what my cheapo thermometer said was 28f. That was on a 102 degree day. Specific differences between SRW F350 and an F250
97 is the only year for the crew f250. The 350 also had a 1 inch taller block in the back. Some 350s did not have overloads, but it was super common. Only bottom dollar xl work trucks didn't.
