    Axles and 4x4 Questions

Plus I can consistently pick up 06+ axles for less than $200 to my door. That's hard to beat even with needing new parts to do the swap. Not that I believe the ttb's are any worse than any other axle. Most of the problem with the ttb's are not the axles but the people that believe they are...

I think your luck with that gun may lie in the fact that you have had it so long. I have many friends and family that have old old guns that were just a run of the mill grease gun when they were purchased. Alas I believe quality of a similarly priced gun today is far lower

Looking good, I guess I didn't realize you weren't a man, hopefully no offense was taken, as none was meant. The picture of the arm not lining up there in the middle shows an older bushing, did you replace it after the photos were take? Those can certainty be a main cause of a death wobble...

    Easy coolant filter

Yea I knew there were two, but he's got a/c so I assumed (maybe incorrectly) that he certainly had the tall style as I though that was the only option for a/c trucks.i was under the impression that the wide one was actually rather rare and only on work truck models. But, since they just plugged...

    Easy coolant filter

Woops,my bad. For some reason I was thinking sidewindedidi had stated in this thread his truck was a 92, I guess I got mistakenly got that information elsewhere. Both of those gentlemen are right. It only is the best option if you have one. I did believe that all the radiators were the same...

    Easy coolant filter

It's really actually ideal to just use the ancillary line that splits off the heater core return and runs down bottom. The fitting in the radiator is only about an eighth diameter as it is, and full flow through the heater core is retained. And there is literally no risk involved, as all it does...

    Easy coolant filter

I was gonna say i paid like $22 for my pre-charged wix filter. The head I bough actually had the part number with it since my kit was a wix kit and it doesn't look nearly as tall as yours either. Maybe it's just perspective. I'll have to measure and grab the part number when I get home

    Heading off road

There were a couple different style breathers on the e4od, most commonly a one way spring cap near the back. Some had a hose, but it was uncommon. The one way breather is lower than the upper bolt on the bell housing. For regular driving, the one way is awsome, let's pressure out, bit not dirt...

I should also mention it's best to check these things with weight on the truck, and having a friend, wife, cheap worker, village idiot, village genius dog, a team of birds that are tied together flying back and forth, your great aunt Sally,my great aunt Sally, that weird neighbor kid that only comes...

Where to begin......do the radius arm bushings before the axle pivot bushings, that way the play in the pivot bushings allows you to leave everything but the radius arm attached. On our trucks stabilizers are 100% certainly not needed to live wobble free. From personal experience fixing and...

    Need AC advice

It's just the size of the actual hole that the refrigerant is forced to expand through, which plays a major factor in the cooling properties of whatever refrigerant is squeezed through it

It's definitely easier. It'll take me a few vehicles or charges at least to recoup my cost of setting up the filling system. They all have their ups and downs.

    Need AC advice

I'm running the blue orifice tube in my propane filled system. Works great.i think I have said it elsewhere, but I can get coil temps down to -3°f when driving at 90 ambient temps. As far as compressor brands I lucked into a new motorcraft for $20 on Craigslist when I did it. Been running...

Temperature gauge is out of control

I had similar trouble to the op a while back in my obs idi. Contrary to what 99% of people (I don't blame them, that's basically what everyone says) the coolant temperature sensors is actually that, a sensor. There is the idiot light, but the one on the dash actually works if it is functioning...

    E4OD Heater Hose

I have to say, finding the "engineering" faultless or calling it science is a bit overkill. We are talking about the same company that said a human life was worth $138k in a lawsuit when pintos started blowing and then "engineered" the solution of coating a bolt....... I can set up a test in my...

    E4OD Heater Hose

Gary is right the hole is literally a pin hole no larger than 1/8 inch in a 3/8 brass fitting. The problem is that the fitting is not a standard pipe thread. and you definitely need to cap it as it is a 3/8 hole in the bottom radiator tank. It works to preheat the tranny by simply dumping a...

    Was this really a thing?

If you look really close on the picture from the back, though, you can see that the front is for sure less than 8 lug. And by the tire size/wheel ratio, I'm willing to bet that all of those wheels are 15's. I am in no way saying it's anywhere near factory, just that it may be a half ton 4x4...
