Milwaukee Battery to Run IP / Wiring ?

I appreciate the advice. I'd prefer not to modify the IP in order to achieve my goal. I believe that I'll move forward with the M18 stepdown, as soon as I understand which diode(s) to use and where to wire them in. Additionally, I'd like to understand how to protect my M18 battery. If any of...

87-91 F Series Headlight Connector Replacement and Relay Mod

The only advice that I can offer: If you wish to use the "headlight relay mod.", build it your self. The offerings, online, tend to be chinesium junk, in my experience.

Milwaukee Battery to Run IP / Wiring ?

Understood. All of my (running) trucks are "bolt action"... gravity, push or pull start works pretty good.

Milwaukee Battery to Run IP / Wiring ?

I wondered the same, hence the question about FSS draw. At 2 amps, I think that it has enough amp hours to keep me rollin'.?.

Milwaukee Battery to Run IP / Wiring ?

Thank you for the reply, I hadn't thought about the IP being case grounded ... I'm sure that there's a "work around". The point is to be able to a run the IP, with no alternator power or truck batteries, instead, to power it with one of the many Milwaukee batteries that I, nearly always, have...

Milwaukee Battery to Run IP / Wiring ?

I found a 12v stepdown for 18v Milwaukee batteries (Link). The plan is to mount the stepdown in the cab, as backup power supply, to run the IP. I'm not sure how to wire it. My thought is that I'll need a diode (maybe 2?) and some kind of protection for the Milwaukee battery. Am I on the...

    Replacing clutch and flywheel

Just remove the shift lever/handle. Those are the two bolts Mexicanjoe is referencing. Once you lift the "boot" off of the floor you'll see them (assuming that you're working on a ZF). T19 has a kinda' half dome nut/retainer that has to be unscrewed, if I remember correctly.

    Locking Hubs: Seeking Reviews

I believe that they (slugs) are the same 30 spline part as the D60. The "selectable" hubs are more appealing to me.

    Locking Hubs: Seeking Reviews

After some research (read Rabbit Hole Dive), I believe that I'll go with Warn "Premium" over Yukon or slugs. I really like what I've read about Yukon, the design seems more robust. There are two factors at play: 1) The Yukon, where I can find them, run over $700. I just spent $$$ on the...

    Locking Hubs: Seeking Reviews

LOL. Yep! I only have one (running) 4x4. She gets USED! I guarantee she has more pasture miles than road miles. Being N/A 6.9, with 4" straight pipe, she's an outstanding "herder".

Thank you for your vote. I've been looking a Warn "Premium". PO used Warn with plastic "switch". One of the "switches" is broken.

    Cranking but not starting

I meant the return line. Bubbles = air in the system. Sometimes it takes a "minute" to get the air out. While your pump is running, depress the Schrader valve (on the filter head) until you get a steady stream of fuel from it and no bubbles in the return line.

    Cranking but not starting

As many times as you've had the fuel system "open", my first thought is air intrusion. Did you prime the fuel filter? If so, I believe that I'd put a clear line (temporary) between the filter and the IP, loosen the injector caps and feed the electric lift pump 12v until I saw fuel. If not...
