    Glow plug relay question

Fuel shutoff wire is red with a green stripe. It's key-on power really. I wired my glow plug relay to work without key on. There's 4 posts on the relay, 2 fat, 2 small. One of those smalls is a ground, the other is the positive to actuate it. the fatties are the power in and out. I wired...

    Glow plug relay question

if you have a pair of needle nose pliers and an old but good wire you can test damn near everything. Take the wire straight from battery positive to the plug on the injection pump, Use the pliers to jumper the relay for glowplugs for about 8 Mississippis', and then use the pliers to actuate the...

Got an IDI van Saginaw pump!

Dimensions, pics of bracket would be great. I made my own adapter cutting up gas saginaw mounts and modifying the old c-2 mount, but it won't work well without a shaft extension

    Custom intake and exhaust manifolds

There have been a few people in the past I've seen DIY some headers/manifolds, most just stick to basically four 90s dumping into a pipe and calling it good enough. There could be some merit to this idea, as long as the kit you get has enough throw in it.

    Push Button GP Setup

you have two "fuel" pumps, the lift pump on the passenger side of the block which is low pressure (~5 psi +/- 5 psi), and the injection pump (IP) which cranks it up way past 1500 psi high pressure. Fuel can't flow past the fuel pump when it is off - unless you literally can't turn the truck...

    Brakes, tires problem

Had a new issue last week cruising on the freeway, traffic turned into stop and go after normal speed, things would go from stopped to back up to speed and back down with people driving like idiots, this happened about 6x and I saw some haze from the front wheel wells from the hard braking, then...

    '94 lumbar support air bladder

If you can't find an OE solution ~ I can't say for sure, but I've had good luck using those vacuum sealer machines to make sealed bags pretty well. Use an adhesive for the air tubes.. Wouldn't mind some lumbar support in my bench if you find an OE solution

Coil over springs on a obs idi ?

Check the leafs, see if you have signs of rubbing... if so your only options are offset rims, spacers, narrower tires.

    Which 33/38 gallon rear tank?

Has anyone had any issues with galvanized tanks and diesel? I'm searching all over the forums and I'm not sure which tank to get - my 87 f250 has a rusty rear tank so I'm going to get the fuel lines and tank replaced. Between my back and living in a hotel I can't do it myself right now. I was...

    Brakes, tires problem

same thing happened today after only sitting a night or two. I noticed the truck was "stuck" when I went to back out. Stuck moreso than if I tried backing out with the e-brake on. Then it kinda popped loose and away I went. But the brakes were SUPER sensitive so I made sure to leave a ton of...

    Bad 3g alternator?

New belt, i can deflect it a little with a lot of pressure, i will crank it again and see. I might be able to get a little more. Ive been tempted to find a way to do double belts on it if possible. I charged the batts up today on 40a setting until it kicked off, still only 13v when started...

Yes, pushbutton starter takes a lot of strain off. Youll be more pissed if you break the pot metal actuator deal. Cranking the key full over will do it

    Bosch glow plugs

I fully agree, never knew all that about the controller, but if I had one i would only use beru plugs. Without one Ive had great luck with bosch, which are pretty popular in europe on other diesels from what ive heard. The only other food for thought is some plugs glow hotter faster, others...
