    If it is still full it likely isn't your overheating problem it could be the fan clutch, the next time you get it hot, shut the engine off and see if the fan spins freely or if it is stiff.

    It could be one of the freeze plugs on the back of the engine.

    What oil do you use?

    The idi burning rotella seems to be hit or miss. Some people's engines drink it as fast as they can pour it in, others have no issues at all. I personally run rotella myself and didn't seem to have any issues before my rebuild and I dont have enough miles to know after the rebuild.

    The tabs are there to assist you with getting the two heads lined up for bolting on the block. The orientation of the tube on the cooler heads is irrelevant so long as it will bolt on the block.

    Then it should be good to run for a while until you can get it to the shop. Just make sure you don't wait too long to get it flushed.

    Depending on the type of rv antifreeze is used. There is ethanol based and ethylene based. The ethylene based is very similar to car antifreeze and should not cause any damage.     It shouldn't hurt anything other than the possibility of the fuel filter. Diesel takes a long time to break down compared to gasoline. If it was me, I would dilute it as much as possible with fresh diesel then give it a heavy dose of you're preference of additive.

    If your truck is still na, and is timed correctly, under heavy acceleration i can see there being some slight smoke. (Although for me, I had slight smoke while I was still na on my truck with all stock parts) if you let off the throttle slightly does the smoke disappear?

    The plastic sleeve is used to assist the installation of the rear main seal without damaging the seal. If you tried to install the seal without the clear plastic ring, you will likely destroy the seal.

    dual mass flywheels, simply put, have 2 flywheels in 1 that are connected together with springs and bearings. that way the flywheel can act as a shock absorber for the energy pulses the engine produces creating a smoother transfer of power into the transmission

    for a basic coolant system the parts store water pumps are good. however if you want to get an upgraded pump, flowcooler has a higher flow pump available for these engines. for install, there are 4 bolts that thread into the timing cover that needs sealed or oil will leak around them.

    @u2slow I believe he was talking about the block heater which plugs the coolant passage and somewhat looks like the freeze plugs.

    Depending on the style of drain petcock your radiator has you might be able to attach a hose to it. Other than that use a flexable funnel and tie it up in a way the coolant flows into it.

    If the fan wobbles, its very likely the bearings in the water pump has gone out and the pump will need replaced.
