    Oil pressure sensor help

If your gauge is 0-80 psi, get the 0-80 psi sending unit from vdo. If it's 0-150, get the 0-150 psi. If you want a warning light for low oil pressure, they have those too. You don't need a dual station as those are for one set of gauges in the engine room and one in the cockpit. If you buy a...

    Oil pressure sensor help

If it was mine, I'd spend the $45 on a vdo sending unit and be done with it

    Front inner splash guard help.

That link @Kizer posted has some gap fillers for a body lift. The shaped pieces might do the trick but it's $130 for the kit

    Front inner splash guard help.

I thought that was what you were talking about. I've got one that's flapping. I need to figure out the fasteners and fix it. I would suggest calling LMC. Or make one out of sheet goods

    Front inner splash guard help.

I don't see them either. I'd email LMC. I tried "fender liner" and only see gas ones. Didn't know they were different TBH

    Turbo IDI running hot

I would get a real gauge. Use an infrared thermo on the tstat housing and the bottom and top of rad. Check when it's reading cool and when it's reading hot. Check your bottom hose for collapsing. Why the need for a gallon of coolant?

Brand new to the fourm...Have a question

Dorman 300-024 was what I looked at. But that's listed for 90, 91, 92. Might check rock Auto.

Brand new to the fourm...Have a question

I see a groove in the last pic. Right around the circumference. That's where a puller grabs it for removal. Looks to me like it is on correctly. Maybe it could go back another 1/32" of an inch. But that big boss on the back looks out of place. Dunno I looked real quick on O'Reilley's for a...

Brand new to the fourm...Have a question

Feel the front end of the pulley. Right at the shaft. The boss there should have a groove machined into to it. I think your vacuum pump pulley is the same. The pulley, in the correct application, is usually installed with the shaft flush with the end of the pulley. feel the nose and can feel...

Another new person with a 6.9

Welcome Could be leaking injectors. You sure that smell isn't antifreeze? Check your oil and make sure the fuel pump isn't mixing fuel into your oil and that is getting sucked into the intake through the CDR and burned.

Brand new to the fourm...Have a question

Where's the groove on the hub of the ps pulley that is used to remove it? That should be to the front.

Brand new to the fourm...Have a question

Those belts look backwards to me. My ac and power steering are single pulley. Alt is double pulley with the second groove driving the vacuum pump.

Brand new to the fourm...Have a question

Can you post a better pic of the wet area on the head? Be careful adjusting that steering. You could get it "tight" enough in the center and have it not want to return to center after making a turn There are specs somewhere that involve disconnecting the steering column and drag link and...

    Oil pressure sensor help

https://wellsve.com/parts/index.php?PART_KEY=006423020&PART_NO=PS142 Here's the one for my 86. Under the specs it shows it is an actual pressure sender. Sort of. https://wellsve.com/parts/index.php?PART_KEY=006422943&PART_NO=PS164 Here's the one for a 1992. It's just a warning light switch...

    Oil pressure sensor help

What gauge are you speaking of? Factory or aftermarket? Automotive gauges of this era use a ground reference to determine oil pressure. The sending unit either provides a range of resistance, say 30 to 240 ohms or it is really a switch that closes at 5 or 10 psi.

Good write up. Leave all your belts tight and smack the wrench on the fan clutch nut with a sledge hammer. Might get lucky.

No brake lights, pretty frustrated at this point

Hahaha. I had my wife (from a right hand drive country) press the brakes for me. Same result. I went and looked and she's pressing the gas. She wanted to know why I was yelling from the back of the truck. Press the BRAKE pedal. Same layout as her Toyota Vio, just on the other side. Is your...

No brake lights, pretty frustrated at this point

Good find on the circuit diagnosis diagram. It nicely shows how the feed through works on these little engineering marvels. Did you pull the turn signal flasher? Key on it would seem that is where the power is coming from that is dimly lighting the tail lights. Could be dirty contacts in the...

No brake lights, pretty frustrated at this point

Yes. The turn signals worked fine on our truck too. Brakes didn't. Power for the brake lights comes through the brake light switch on one wire to the turn signal switch. Always hot. Power for the turn signals comes on a separate with through the flasher. Hot in run only. When you turn the...

No brake lights, pretty frustrated at this point

We had a similar issue with our late 70s f350. Single bulb taillights, the brake lights run through the turn signal switch. We pulled the steering wheel and twisted the eyelets in the rivets and they started working again.

No Power to Fuel Cutoff Solenoid

I don't like the way that Ford organized wiring diagram into functional groups. It doesn't match what we see I think this thread contains the wiring diagram for your year FSS https://www.oilburners.net/threads/ive-done-something-and-need-some-help.86371/ Understand I don't have the same year...
