Good catch. I had been looking up a brick nose for another thread.

I’d say give them a shot. If you aren’t happy with them, it’s Amazon, send them back and get a refund.

Wally the Walrus (1992 E350 High Roof/Ext. Body)

The 4x4 conversion / build Sounds like fun. I think you would regret the 3.55 though with 35’s. As far as insurance, most companies that have agents can write you an “agreed value” policy. I used to have one on my 1952 dodge M37 through State Farm.

will LEDs work in 1989 stock headlight

The brick nose (87-91)uses the same bulb but a different housing than the OBS (92-97). So LED’s should work fine. I will say that the clarity of the lens is still important, so if you headlights are cloudy or hazy, you should replace them or “restore “ them.

They are good. The pic above is the low beams. They stay low, and don’t blind oncoming traffic or a car in front of you. These are the high beams.

Have you tried heat? I know there are other members on here who have fought rusty spindles and won, but I can’t remember who, or what worked for them. You might try searching on here.

    E4OD TC engagement

The running lights shouldn’t be an issue. And like I said, adding an incandescent in parallel to each brake/turn circuit should fix that part of the equation. You could mount a cheap trailer light under the bed, and get some cool “under glow” like all the kids have.

    1993 E 350 4x4 BallJoint - need help on parts

It will probably be 9/64” or 5/32”. 9/64” is the standard drive size for a #8-32 socket head cap machine screw(it’s a mouth full but it’s what they are called), and 5/32” would be for #10-32. The #8 and #10 references the diameter of the screw. It’s a size in name only. All of what we call...

    countershaft in zf 5

Sounds like that gear is not coming off there in one piece. It will have to be cut off like was mentioned earlier. It’s basically the same procedure as the bearing retainer on a Ford 9” axle shaft.

    E4OD TC engagement

Are the LED or sealed incandescent? I believe the line of thinking is that for everything to work properly the brake light circuit needs to be intact with an incandescent bulb. If you’ve got LED’s, you might try adding an incandescent in parallel to them.

93 7.3 idi locked up driving down the road

From here, my hunch is that that engine is done for. The fastest, cheapest, easiest way to get that truck back on the road is going to be a good used engine. If it has in fact thrown a rod or two, you will likely be looking for a new crank and a couple of rods in addition to the other parts and...

    Easy Fuel Additive system

I’ll admit, I hadn’t thought about the suitability of those primer bulbs for diesel. A quick look on the web turns up a fair number of people using them with diesel. That being said, what additives are you using, are they primarily diesel, or some other chemical? Another idea with the same...

Yeah, that would be my wife. She was legitimately cracking up over that, as evidenced by the expert camera action of rotating the phone in the middle of it. She’s pretty good for putting up with me dragging projects like that home.

Will I be happy with these headlights?

Those are good. That’s what I have, but I am running easy eagle LED’s from Amazon. As far as inspections go, put the halogens in for the inspection and swap out the LED’s afterwards if you’re worried. The LED’s are a huge improvement, and draw fewer amps to help the headlight switch and...

Why not a primer bulb? It would give you a reasonably consistent volume of additive with each squeeze.

Well that’s not good. I’m assuming that oil leak is new. In that case, I’d say there’s a decent shot you threw a rod on 7 and maybe 8. Look closely with a flashlight between the starter and the oil pan. I bought my truck with a known bad engine in it that had tossed 7&8. I new there was no...

    What is this part

If it goes to the transfer case, it’s probably for a 4x4 indicator light and not related to the stalling/ won’t start problems. I know these trucks can stall like that if the idle rpm is too low. If that’s the case, why is is idling too low suddenly? Clogged fuel filter? Maybe the IP is...

    Parking Brake/E-Brake needs adjustment

You shouldn’t need to remove the races. They can stay pressed in the hub. You’ll only have to remove them if they need replacement. Just clean and inspect the bearings and races closely when you get it apart.
