    Tell me about transfer tanks....

No, he had homemade meth injection using windshield washer fluid. He was probably the second or third member I met in person - Mel was the first. We headed down to Geonc's place in NC for a pig roast. It was him, Eric Boutin (up in Greenville, SC) and Mel from the IDI crowd and I bribed my wife...

Drive for weeks without filling up maybe... Once he started spraying windshield juice his days were numbered! But damn it was fast! Hijack over....

    Rear brake linings cracked

Based on the middle pic, from what I can tell you have the bigger shoe on the front? And what Bill posted, it should be on the rear. It's been 10 years since I did brakes on one of these so I'm kind of guessing... FWIW though, I did use all Motorcraft when I did mine. On edit...Never mind, it...

    2016 MOB Oilburners IDI rally.

It's official for me. Arrive the 7th and depart on the 10th. I wanted to get there earlier in the week, but with work and negotiating with Stephanie for the kids.... I'm in 407 No kayak or canoe for me but Erica bought bikes last week for us. Nicole and Doug already have bikes and I have a...

    NEW RIG!!! 96 F350 DRW 460 auto

In GA, they just put cardboard with "applied for" as a plate! In MD, I can get a 14 (I think) day transport tag for small money and move any unregistered / uninspected vehicle. I drove my truck with expired PA plates in GA for over a year. All that said, I would trailer it out of the state...

    new here

Oh, you need to lookup Geonc Wood butchering at it's best. McMansion custom built stair cases was what he did. He is now floating in the Gulf on a tug. Not on here too much but is still on FB. He went to the darkside years ago. Does a mean hog roast, though. The first GTG I went to was his...

    Project Big Red

Stephanie, my ex did that one day while I was at work, organized the whole bench in the basement. I went ape sh!t when I got home and discovered her "surprise". I have taken over half of Erica's garage and strangely we think alike in where stuff is stored so I have been able to not "lose"...

    Real oil pressure gauge

I ran Autometer electrical for oil pressure, water temp, trans temp and volts; Isspro for pyro and boost. Oil was tee'd. Water, oil and volts was pod mounted top of dash in that order starting driver side. Rest pillar mounted with pyro on top, trans in the middle and boost on the bottom.

My understanding was that nitrogen is less susceptible to pressure changes caused by temperature changes.

194 LED Top of cab lights

I read that if the CHMSL is a regular bulb you can get away with LED in the rear and not need resistors on the trucks. Not sure if it is true or not... I have been hesitant to change any of mine on the Jeep or Hyundai because you always read about the one guy that had hyperflash or weird...

    Typical Mechanics truck

TRUTH...I made it on 7 cylinders. Window shopping on Sunday and I keep backing up on 6.0 given Ron's run of luck and keep thinking I just need an IDI. Actually looked at a OBS ECLWB stroke and .... gas motor SD.

    New guy from NE Georgia

I leave the state and you guys show up! Used to be a member called Trapper that lived over near Rome or there about. I was in Cumming (late 2009 - spring 2013) - 1/2 mile from Billy Howell Ford when I lived there.

Experience with Insurance co total and buyback?

Yep. we had actually 3 day overlap. His ended night before DMV visit and mine started at the beginning of the month. What gets me is the increase of "Historic" plates. Read the law... That ghetto'd out '87 Honda Civic you are driving at 5 am on Thursday on 795 ain't going to any car show, event etc.

Experience with Insurance co total and buyback?

Maryland is the same in that regard. I bought the Grand Cherokee from my sister when I moved back. The title and tags where transferred to my father from my sister as a "gift" for a small (relatively speaking) DMV fee and no state inspection, wait 6 months and my Dad "gifted" me the vehicle with...

Experience with Insurance co total and buyback?

The digital age sucks. Back in the day if you were any good you could "clock" a car before it got off the hauler and wash titles in WV or TN!

    Other... People...

I had the same issues with pumps and parking. Fortunately for me when I owned the truck in PA it was a bit on the rural side so people could relate. However I lived just east of Morgonzo in Cumming, GA. My HOA wrote me up for having the outside dually wheel off the concrete drive and over (yes...

Experience with Insurance co total and buyback?

No real experience other than I have a Hyundai Elantra at the body shop for over 6 weeks now. It is all based on cost to repair versus Fair Market Value - and there in lies the problem. The body shop actually stopped work on mine to talk to the adjuster again. Original estimate was 3900. I was...

Realistic budget of a 2wd -4wd and goodies build

Nothing to it but to do it! Here is the really odd thing about this, Brian's, Mike's, Jared's builds etc - I can gut a bathroom, kitchen, rip out a sub floor, punch a big a$$ hole in a roof or wall and not think twice. But I would have such a hard time making the first cut in a truck! I guess...
