    tires n'stuff question

As you are learning... the second number represents the percentage of the first number to calculate the height of the tire wall. This is in millemeters. So to save you an entire math course. Current tire = 32.8" tall New tire = 31.6" tall. Shorter tire means it turns more to cover the same...

    Suggestions for tow rig tire...

I ran BFG when I had mine. Got them at Sam's Club. Never any issues. I have seen a lot of trucks around here with the Firestone TransForce. 121 mile / 3.5 hour round trip commute gives me plenty of time to look at crap. Michelin would always be my cost no object go to tire.

best way to prevent overspray inside the door jambs.

That soft edge foam or rope tape is what they used on my dd...How do I know? because they left remnants of it on the floor, under the mats and under the seats...... Yep, I just wanted my car back and to never deal with them again.

    Project 1997 Parts truck

HVAC supply houses are another place to get them. Used on heat pumps and AC units to straighten fins. Not sure if there is a width difference though.

    front seats

Took the frame from the bench seat (floor mounts and slide mechanism) and had Agnem weld up a frame that bolted to it that had tabs that lined up with the "feet" of 2008 Escape leather buckets. I then bolted the new buckets to these tabs. The new fabbed bracket ran straight across the...

Truck and tractor pull & Truck dyno day

I saw at sign at Westminster Equipment advertising this. Wont make it as much as I would like too. Got Steph talked into letting me get the kids for Saturday and told Erica she needs to be a true redneck for the day so we are headed to Arcadia Demolition Derby on Saturday.

    noob serpentine belt question

I recall always having to get it around the fan and shroud. But I don't recall it being that big of a deal either. Couple busted knuckles. My headache was a stripped tensioner bolt.

    RV/7-Blade Round Plug Mounting

No pic since the truck is gone, but mine was installed in front of the wheel well on the drivers side. You could actually see the back side of the plug if you looked up inside the hip so it went thru both layers. I am not sure anybody has a shallow design.

    Painting a rear bumper

PSA - If you go with a wire wheel, watch where you place your hands! I was cleaning up a outdoor table we got at an estate sale. Holding angle grinder with wire brush in my right hand and the table leg in my ungloved left hand last night. As I type I am looking at the bandage on my left...

    1994 f-350 pickup truck 4wd Dually - $3250 (modesto) CA

If I had time and money (wait, I would be dead then...) I would come out there with a 3 car wedge and bring them back across country. I should start posting what our craigslist IDI ads look like... virtually nothing or complete turds for 4500.

whats the best way to tackle this?

Additional support would help down the road. Guys like me harpoon lumber into a truck bed and destroy the front of beds and backs of cabs. It was obvious on mine when I installed the tool box. Once I got the box, it took the beating! Seriously though as to the best route for ya, I got...

whats the best way to tackle this?

Come on Brian! You already know your answer - you just want one of us to say it so when it takes 10X's longer you have someone to blame! :rotflmao MY answer would be fix the little rust spot, slap a bed on the truck and call it good. But we all know that is not how you roll. Since you are...

    Diesel Newbie needs some advice.

Just my opinion... I put a Factory Tech brand valve body in mine along with a 4R100 pan. The pan is factory Ford, steel and no fins, but is 1 qt larger with drain plug. Add a cooler. I prefer the plate style. As for gauges I would not tow without a pyro and trans temp. If budget allows get...
