The quest for a better paint job: Step 1 Paint Booth

When you grab your dedicated air hose. Grab a Flexzilla air hose. they are super flexible and really nice when painting. I like them a lot. They don't have much body to them so when your painting you don't have to worry quite as much about hose management. They drop straight to the floor VS...

Will my truck be ok pulling 8,000lbs

Truck will handle the weight just fine. I pull 18-22k (total weight) with my truck several times a summer. Stopping will be the concern. Keep your head when stopping and allow plenty of room.

    Center Support Bearing (Drive Shaft)

Where you guys getting the XRF stuff? We put those in my brothers blazer. I've got a shudder/bounce on initially getting moving. Then it's golden. Seems to be affected by load on the rear. Unloaded is the worse, fully loaded is the best. I've wondered about driveline angles. I played with my...

Check out this link for innercooler install. He put a Hypermax kit in a bricknose. I know there are many articles on here about adding inner coolers, but this is the only bricknose one I remembered. http://www.thedieselstop.com/contents/getitems.php3?Hypermax%20Intercooler%20on%207.3IDI

    power?

Definitely get it timed. Its' as easy as buying a Ferret timing adapter and using your timing light. Timing makes all the difference in how these engines run. So it's worth the expense and hassle. If you haven't found the sticky already you time it by rotating the pump on it's mount. There...

    Did I screw up??

After I posted I wondered about that. The ZF has a larger input shaft so thus a larger OD and less room to over insert the fork to get it seated on the ball. New clutch fork is a good idea. I had one that was worn and it let the throughout bearing spin on the tranny input sleeve and ended up...

    4wd DNE2 Project

Did they base the US gear OD off of some standard commercial transmission parts? Or was it all custom stuff? should add thats interesting on the gear oil. I've always used 90W but am planning to switch to synthetic to help it quiet down. Although I have an NP205 and T-19 right now so not the...

Should I buy? 1994 F-350 IDI Turbo Reg Cab Manual (Hard Start)

My 93 with low compression had 180,000 miles. Now I found a truck with a good engine to part out. Otherwise I'd of probably gone through my engine. I plow with my 93. It's got a turbo 7.3, 5-speedd, and 3.55 gears. It plows great. Not sure I'd do anything different. If it's a heavy snow I drop...

Should I buy? 1994 F-350 IDI Turbo Reg Cab Manual (Hard Start)

I'd check the compression before I bought it. I bought my 93 damn near the exact same way. It was hard starting and told it had low compression. I brought it home caught up on the maintenance. It actually ran pretty good, but started burning oil like crazy. 100 mile per gallon of oil. Serious...

    Fixed fan conversion for IDI

Yeah Jauhln (sure I messed up his handle) has a horton. I think he got a hold of a powerstroke one though and had to specially machine the nut to get it on our waterpump. There is a thread on here with part numbers and stuff.

    Fixed fan conversion for IDI

Newer stokes are counterclockwise fans and waterpumps. IDI's are clockwise fans. From the looking I've done International 466 engine water pump come with a water pump thread and rotation that matches our engines. So a 466 might be a place to look for different fans or clutches. I've been...

    Project Big Red

https://www.auveco.com/default.aspx is the place. My local store can get most of the fasteners from their warehouse. I forgot to grab part numbers, but I probably have all the part numbers I used for my truck still in the shop. It's super convenient to have a stash of these as you reassemble stuff.

Laser - I would open up the Auveco catalog and buy all new nuts and bolts for the fenders. Or most of them. Cleaning up those little things is hardly worth the time. A box of 25-50 bolts is like $7.00. I probably have parts numbers if you want them. Engine looks great!
