Kind of wondered if that was the deal. Yeah I know I've got new parts here that I've bought twice. Sucks. They're small too so damn easy to misplace.

what does it take to put ac in?

Bricks is reference to the 87-91 pickups. They are "brick nosed". If I was you I would start by pulling the outside unit off the firewall. Then start following all the wiring back from the compressor and the pressure switch. I believe that wiring actually comes from the firewall over the a/c...

Ok where does a guy get the clear UV tint? I actually only really want the UV protection the front doors and windshield for heat. I got checked for window tint years ago in this truck. Took all the tint off during the rebuild. don't need to make it a cop magnet.

Do you think the strip helps with cooling at all? Keeping the sun off you? I'm wondering about tinting my windows to help with cooling. And was debating a strip. Laser, thanks for the cleaning tips. I bought some new stuff today so lets see if I can clean this well. I did find these...

Well tried to glue the new tab on last night. What a debacle. I razor bladed the old glue off the windshield as instructed. I did wipe it down with laquer thinner also. Then I preppep the parts as instructed and glued it to the windshield. After I held it for a minute the button fell right off...

For the track I used front door pieces. Seems to work fine. For belt line I payed 86$ per door. Inside pieces I reused.

Is the oil you have in the system compatible with R134? Was the drier new before? Truthfully if it was me. I'd pull a vacuum. Check for leaks. And charge it with R134. Charge until 30 or so ounces of freon then charge until the vent temp and temp of the drier are close. Drier is the output of...

Yeah same here. Pretty sure my wife is suicidal. She's always using the flip down visors when I drive. I've had to flip hers up more than once so I could see! Got a new button at lunch for a Chrysler. Fits really nice. I'll post a picture once I get to installing everything. Jeremy

No clue what's up with your AC. With R134 you charge like 80% weight of what the R12 is required. Our trucks call for like 44 or 52 oz of R12. I'm not sure exactly where I'm at with charge. i put 30oz in and it blew OK. Then I put in more this year until my air vent temp and the output of the...

IDK how hot it got, but my little butane torch for wiring pulled the button right off. Heated it for like 15 seconds and twisted it with the pliers. Easy peasy lemon squeazy. I figured what the hell and got her done. Looks like Dorman sells a 3 pack of bases. I may mount the new one a touch...

I've been reading and it sounds like mirror glue with glue a new button on an old one. IDK? Laser that bracket looks like what I need only in reverse. So the scale of adapting is correct, but I need it in the opposite way. From what I've been reading sounds like you can remove the buttons...

The bullnose looks good! The brick nose are the ugliest front end on these trucks if you ask me. Amazing how far that hood sticks out. No wonder the bullnose are tough to intercool.

Got the mirror wired up and installed. I still got to figure out the mount. My truck has a smaller mirror base, than what the mirror has. I took it for granted that it would be the same. It hangs there, but is loose. I'm thinking a small adapter will make it fit right. Also read on some forums...

This is the dome light I bought. Because of my messed up harness I wanted this one with the pigtail also. Two of the screws grabbed great. The last screw keeps popping the white deal out of the roof metal. Not sure whats up with that since the other nylon nut worked fabulous. This is the...

Finally got around to putting in a dome light. I don't like the chrome ones that are factory so I rounded up one out of a 2000 F150. If my wiring had still been attached to the ceiling this would have been easy. As it was my dome light wiring was a mess so I had to wire into the dome light...

I'm not advocating pulling these plugs on that beautiful engine at this point. I'm strictly asking for knowledge. Does an 8 pt socket and an impact work? Just rattling it until it breaks loose?
