    another injector pop testing thread...

Don't worry about a screamer :sly ;Sweet Remember that your pop tester is jamming a higher volume of fluid through, that is causing the noise.

    another injector pop testing thread...

Did you try blasting the injector using the pop tester? Sometimes there could be something small in there that will get pushed out if the injector opens enough. Not sure if you have disassembled these before or not but I used a 12 point socket with an impact wrench to get it apart (hold body...

    another injector pop testing thread...

Is your pop tester clean? If you are passing sh!t through the injector then you will see random dribblers. I suggest you clean it out real well. Put a dribbler on there and give it a blast of flow to hopefully flush it out. you might need a few pumps to get the crap out (hopefully). If this...

Facet Duralift not enough pump to keep up?

I run a walbro (marine pump) and I am very happy with it. I also clamped down the filter return line a bit and that greatly reduced the cycle time. For the Carrier setup I suggest trying that.

    Crumbling glow connector ends

You can give the brass connector a little squeeze with pliers to tighten them up. Mine are missing all the white plastic and I have no problems.

    Trouble with Ferret timing meter

Sounds to me like the output side of the ferret is not working (the loop). The LED flashing in time with engine speed means the pick up is working. Trying two timing lights suggests that the black box is NFG.

Steering ISSUE fix - Drag link roll causing dead spot

Horrible Freight has this tool on sale right now for $22 (reg 56).

Steering ISSUE fix - Drag link roll causing dead spot

These will ship out on Wednesday... traveling for work right now so a slight delay getting them out the door. Please note that I am providing these FREE. It is too expensive for me to ship to individual parts to members in the States hence the shipping to RW and then to IDIoit... If anyone...

Steering ISSUE fix - Drag link roll causing dead spot

Well I finally got these bushings made. I turned out 21 in all, one for member X-NRCan_IDI and twenty to share with the Oilburner community. I really can't afford to ship these to individual members in the States; there was some discussion earlier in this thread of having someone State-site...

    Strange surging

Yep, air getting into the fuel supply or fuel flow is restricted. I would think your "fuel filter" idiot light should be coming on or at least flickering. Here are some tests you can do: Air intrusion: Remove the fuel pressure sender (1/8 NPT) and install a clear line (Tygon or vinyl)...

Hairbrained idea for cheap timing meter/onboard display

I thought I would post a couple of comments / thoughts on this... I have always wanted a better, and live timing measurement system. Pulse timing - this works but I think it is not a very reliable method. 1. The injection pressure is not really that significant (see the graph posted); from...

    Dana 60 Swap Questions (driveshaft)

Check the D60 swap in my signature. Most of your questions are answered there! My 250 front drive shaft fit the D60 (1994 F250 with 1993 F350 D60 axle). make sure you get the track bar and bracket! You need front 350 springs (the TTB springs are MUCH stiffer because of the geometry used)...

Thump like sound, yes I've searched and nothing

Well a quick check is to pull all of the injectors and check for soot, and then pop test. That might be better than circling the truck and not doing anything. It will be obvious if you have a copper seal problem or loose injector. You you don't have a pop tester you can build one pretty easy...

Front End Refresh! Dana 60 Suspension Rebuild

I was unable to make the CURE spacers last weekend - I started fixing some broken welds on my rear bumper and found a fuel leak... finished installing the new tank last night. I think you have a source for the spacer but I will be turning out a bunch of these so if you have problems getting one...

Front End Refresh! Dana 60 Suspension Rebuild

Nice write up! The part numbers are always a good thing... nice when someone does all the research and posts a good shopping list like this. I listed many parts in my D60 thread (in sig)... if anyone else finds there way here but needs some more steering component parts I have numbers posted...

Track Bar/ Pan Hard Bar Bushings

I would thing that hard ass rod ends might be tough on everything. The slight give from the rubber or poly might give you less vibration / road rumble. I hear you on the longevity of the rod ends though but I think it will be HARSH. The specs (Shore) for the poly (probably UHMW) and Delrin...

Steering ISSUE fix - Drag link roll causing dead spot

Damn, wish I had seen that before replacing all the steering on my D60... Oh well I am happy with the XRF but that kit does look awesome.

Steering ISSUE fix - Drag link roll causing dead spot

I can also make the (non-TRE) side tapered to sort of allow a crush zone... That would allow a tighter fit for grease sealing. If you have to sand it then you loose the taper but whatever.

Steering ISSUE fix - Drag link roll causing dead spot

riotwarrior That works for me! OK, I will work on spinning a bunch out over the weekend. I can also ship from the states but I don't go down very often. jhenegh got your PM, will be in touch.

Steering ISSUE fix - Drag link roll causing dead spot

That is great! The part dimensions are at the beginning of this thread... I suggest that the end user use the belt sander tweak to fit their application.

I did that with the timing tapes... maybe send you and IDIoit a care package to redistribute?

Steering ISSUE fix - Drag link roll causing dead spot

I can make one up... see my other posts about shipping costs. Take some measurements with a caliper and PM me. Note: do you own or have access to a belt sander? I can make it too long and just sand it down.

Steering ISSUE fix - Drag link roll causing dead spot

I am back! Sorry for late reply... took the boy out of school to join a bunch of us for an extra long weekend of Crown lands camping, lake trout, and some back country brookies. I am able to make more of these but I would want to make sure that they fit first (my tre is XRF). riotwarrior, I...
