Fuel Filter light - what does is measure?

I powered by electric pump using the IP fuel shut off solenoid power (to a small relay). I am not sure how you would use the GP relay to do this

    Hydroboost

I put hydroboost in my truck this past summer; really nice upgrade. Here is what i would recommend: First, search here for pics and other info. I posted a part number for a replacement PS pump that includes the two port reservoir. It was very cheap and you probably can't find the reservoir...

    Steer Me Right

New thread might get you answers quicker... Those parts are "consumable" and easily replaced (I quote consumable because most probably don't wear them out). The lock parts are made of some light weight material (aluminum?) and are intended to fail before more expensive parts. It is important...

    Thoughts on Colors?

Blue. Medium Lapis Metallic, code 'KG'. Sexiest color ever :p :fan: It seems to look darker at night (no shit), grey at times, and brilliant in the snow. Kind of a chameleon color. Lotsa metalic in it also. I also like the red on our 2017 Caravan - "octane red" - very deep rich looking red.

Ford publication for 7.3 idi turbo - with overhaul info

I stumbled on this document today; I don't know if it has been posted before but I have never seen it. This is a very detailed read about the factory turbo upgrade. It also has lots of service info for the turbo and goes into detail about the design differences between N/A and the turbo -...

    Steel bumpers

I suggest that the biggest danger to tweaking (other than the big-butt thing) is having the bumper too stiff on the outsides. My bumper is C channel (actually light stair stringer) - lots of beef in the center but I purposely left the outsides "weak". A prius would not bend it but if i slam a...

    Bed bolt upgrade?

Slightly off topic but I replaced my front two with good quality eye bolts. These trucks were designed and built back in the day when nobody needed to tie stuff down :idiot:

Stumbled on this IDI for sale in Langley BC

Was looking around on the net for a used turbo and found this...https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/delta-surrey-langley/1994-ford-f-250-pickup-truck/1316631433 Very clean looking, thought someone here might be interested. Truck has nothing to do with me other than I like it!

Dana 60 wearing outside of tires

Toe can only be defined as an angle. In practical application it might be ok to say "1/8" or "1/4" front to rear, but that does not mean anything without knowing how far apart the front and rear measurements are made. franklin2 is correct that extreme size tires would intersect. This is why I...

Dana 60 wearing outside of tires

Referencing off the rears (green lines) tells you where the center of the truck is (halfway between the front two marks - through the length of the truck - to between the rear two marks). Otherwise you don't really know if your front end is pointed in the same direction as where the truck...

Dana 60 wearing outside of tires

No I am not setting for zero toe; the drawing was only to demonstrate how to do it. You can do any vehicle (any toe spec) and yes using Pythagorean theorem. I believe toe is the accumulative angle between the two tires; so 1 degree toe in would mean 1/2 a degree each. The rear axle green...

Dana 60 wearing outside of tires

I did my own alignment and then had it checked by a shop; I was off very slightly and well within spec. This is what I did: 1. Buy a cheap-ass laser level (8 to 12 inches long)...

    Glow plug relay?

That's life on the wild side :music: You could fab up a cover easy enough... I rather risk it than use the underrated weld-itself-on NAPA one. I think the existing covers often get broken, melted or lost... sure there is more than one truck without the cover. You can buy terminal covers at...

Help to I.D. this turbo kit? + intercooled!

^^^ +1 I use airsoft beads in mine. Never use weights again. Go for the heavy airsoft ones (0.20g high density). Look on-line for how to use them - there are sites that will calculate about how much to use based on your tire size. If you run cheapass tires then you might need more... too...

    Glow plug relay?

Here it is... https://www.oilburners.net/threads/glow-plug-question-need-help-asap.70256/#post-817305 I posted some service history for my GP relay in that link... I am now at 345,000 km and on the same Stancor! That is 7 years and 150,000 km (100,000 miles approximately) with no problems...

    Glow plug relay?

It fits on the existing controller; the shunt (Z shape thingy) has to be bent slightly to allow the new relay to be mounted differently. I know I posted a pic here somewhere...

    Oil filter light

Ummm, fuel filter light? Just because you have a new filter doesn't mean its not clogged. You have an electric pump so i suggest removing the output line from the filter head (that goes to the IP) and test the flow. Also, there is a return vent on the filter head that has an orfice; is it...
