    My Turbo Tale

I know the are in the USA, not sure where product is made. More coming: homemade dipstick tube, final CDR mount, turbo install and merge with exhaust... and post-turbo dyno date.

    My Turbo Tale

This hurts (drilling holes and cutting). The Auber display fits a 43 x 43mm cutout (for you 'Muricans that is about 0.65 x the diameter of a beer can). This just happens to fit the empty space next to the WTS light. The sensor installs were easy, 1/8 NPT into the driver’s side manifold…...

    My Turbo Tale

And finally at 15psi (sorry for the crappy quality of the Paroscientific) The display has user accessible scaling parameters to match the display to the sensor. Re-verified at 10psi: Good enough for non-union work!

    My Turbo Tale

Now I need a pyrometer. After a lot of research I decided to go with an Auber Combo-EGTS-P; this is a dual channel temperature and pressure. I opted for a red/green display (red for EGT and green for boost pressure)...

    My Turbo Tale

Moving on, here is the donor with some new parts: Banks down pipe (you can see the chitty crushed one on the left), and a new wrapped crossover pipe from R&D. The spare pipes on the right are from the Dynomax kit (for extended cab). I will need to adapt the Banks downpipe to the...

    My Turbo Tale

Before starting any performance mods the truck had a date with the chassis dynamometer at International Dyno in Ottawa http://internationaldynoauthority.com/. I was expecting 125 HP (at the wheels) and hit 123 on the first run. Subsequent runs all came out at about 104 WHP. :dunno probably...

    My Turbo Tale

After many years of anticipation I am finally prepared to install a factory ATS turbo on my truck. This is (was) a stock truck – the only “performance” upgrade was a Dynomax 19430 manifold–back exhaust system, installed last fall. I hate this exhaust system, makes more noise than the radio L...

    ether damage?

I think the only thing ether could do is break something (for example your GP's ignite a cylinder at the wrong time). In other words, I think it would be obvious to you if ether damaged something. I would look at your IP, do the ATF treatment, cranking speed (compression), bleed injectors, air...

6.9 to 7.3 Glow Plug Upgrade

I can't help with the 6.9 to 7.3 change but there are a ton of schematics available on-line and here. There really isn't much to the controller - besides the big wires on the solenoid you have ground, wts line (I think white) and ignition. For a real upgrade... see the link in my signature for...

    R&D idi issues?

Well I have tried many times to order a crossover pipe from R&D... I don't have fakebook so have to rely on email or phone. Today I finally resigned myself to buying SS pipes pieces and fab my own... well I will try phoning one more time. ANSWERED! Pipe is in stock :Thumbs Up. Two minutes...

    IDI 0-60 Times

Ya well my truck is sooo slow... I am still trying to get to 60 since my original reply to this thread in May 2014! :bail

    Need some help please

Can you just lower the existing tanks enough to fill correctly? Might lose the ability to store a spare tire but maybe that is an easier solution.

slow throttle response and stalls when return to idle

I would check for fuel flow, air, and pressure at the top of the filter. There is a schrader fitting, press that and see if you get good flow (let it run a bit, not just a squirt). Do you have an ATV tire pressure gauge? Use a low pressure tire gauge to check the same schrader fitting for...

    Adding a fuse block?

+1 on Blue Sea... check out a marine supplier for selection. My truck wiring is clean but my boat was a horses ass of wiring. Marine grade stuff is great quality and you will have lots of selection to fit your application.

ATS 093 Turbo & SD intercooler install + exhaust recommendation

I am currently doing almost the same thing - I won't be installing an intercooler. I am also planning on the Auber kit. I have a factory turbo in great shape, just need a crossover and down pipe. Last fall I installed a Dynomax exhaust (for NA truck) and hate it - way too loud. I am hoping...

    Replacing bearings

https://www.amazon.com/OTC-7158-Locknut-Socket-Wrench/dp/B000K1DUWE Any auto parts store should have them - package should say for Ford 3/4 - 1 ton... think Dodge take the same too.

    Fuel line retaining clip size

I figured it was these ones that are needed https://www.dormanproducts.com/p-33124-800-017.aspx Either way, all are readily available :)

    Fuel line retaining clip size

+1 easy to source. Dorman 800-017 is a kit with two sizes listed on the blister pack. Used them on my rear tank.

    1993 F-350 Turn signals

Welcome! I think only one flasher unit (for turn signals); probably the multi-function switch. Cheap and easy fix. Remember you have an F-series so sourcing one for an F150 (or googling problems) is not specific to the F350. Google "F150 multi..." instantly pops up with some good Amazon sources.
