    Injection Pump Problem?

Running in a PS is different than running in an IDI. PS does not have the injection pump. I ran 55gal of jetA in my 6.9 with problems later on. I also added 2 stroke oil, 10-40w oil, DieselKleen, etc but didn't help. My nephew worked at Mountain Air and had some take-out fuel also and gave...

6.9 idi missing, puffs of white smoke

Maybe I misunderstood. If it was running, I would NOT mess with tightening the rocker arms. I would change the valve cover gaskets if you are going to remove the covers.

Anyone running Jet A with stanadyne mixed in on their 6.9

I had 55 gallons of Jet A also drained & unable to be reused. Was just to dry like kerosene & had to add WMO to run right in my 6.9. It was free but I didn't use anymore.

    Tools and Spare Parts

I don't carry much. Starter, Vacuum pump, belts, 12v air compressor, tire plugging kit & tool kit. Most other break downs are towable. Plenty of parts at home. If long trip, I just rent. If it breaks down, they can bring me a replacement. Almost forgot, can of Super Whoose if glowplugs fail;)

My 1st time did just as yours. Thought the starter had a problem. Was parked at an angle & cowl seal was toast. Water got in the intake past the rubber seal on the air intake. etc, etc ,etc. Starter has a lot of torque on that flywheel and bent 1 rod. I went ahead & honed + re-ringed &...

    Project Little Foot

Good time also to replace that original muffler, etc. Walker has a full flow that does not have the chambered sound deadening but still sounds decent. That one is probably loaded with soot as mine was. Can go from original to 3" easily with the bed off.

    Ac compressor clutch cuts off

Low on freon as franklin2 says. Low side too low, high side too low also. Low should be between 32-40psi & high around 250psi. Buy a cheap digital thermometer and keep in center vents to keep an eye on cooling. About $8

    Still in nee of help

Bent rod probably. Have the same problem with all this rain. 2nd time around with good cowl seal. Water gets in the regular air filter & had a flat cover over it this time. It gets a turbo installed this time around.

torque spec for water pump pulley bolts

14lbs torque on water pump to front plate fasteners(19Nm). 4 bolts to seal with pipe thread sealant. Also cut a piece of cardboard to fit the radiator on the inside. Keeps fan from damaging radiator if it falls during removal or installation of fan if radiator is still installed.
