    A Post I Don't Want To Make

The engine is not junked yet. Used piston & rod would be easy to access. Just have to have gaskets & sealer (for oil pan).

    A Post I Don't Want To Make

Bent rod. Mine sounds like that but runs. Was it hard to start/turn over the first time before the video. Mine cranks first time every time. Does not take much fluid to bend one, takes more to hydrolock. Compression tester time. Mine have been # 7 & or #8 cylinders

I FIX ONE THING, ANOTHER BREAKS... HELP

Your fuel pump should be in circuit with injection pump FSS. Your fuel heater is probably shorting out. Disconnect the fuel heater altogether & see if circuit breaker kicks with just the e pump on it.

    Bronco Fuel Tank Install

I have seen some other posts in the past where they used threaded rod to make up the difference on the Bronco tanks. The fill hose seems to be the biggest problem since the swage on the Bronco hose is larger and closer to the frame.

    Replacing head gaskets, what else?

Right Stuff RTV on oil pan. Maybe check a rod/main bearing or 2 while pan is off. Check oil pump feed line for possible stress cracks. Replace block coolant plugs with drains. Replace block heater if not already done. Check all lifters/push rods/rocker arms for wear. If you have the bucks...

Which One Would You Pick for a Gasser Swap; 6.9, 7.3, or 7.3 PS?

7.3 IDI & stud it, port the water jackets in the block & heads to fit the 6.9 gaskets, use 6.9 Felpro gaskets, while the heads are off//port them and upgrade the valves and springs, find a set of turbo valve covers. For the fuel economy.

Truck won't start with new starter/starter solenoid

Pull the glow plugs and see if you can manually turn it over at the crank bolt. Sounds locked up. Mine ran excellently until water got in the cylinder. Finally got it to turn over after a few trys and bent 2 piston rods easily with the starter. cookoo:idiot:-Playme

Throw an old floor mat or something big enough to lay over the filter housing to keep the water out even with new cowl seal.
