    Try one more dimes' thickness turning the pump towards the passenger side (you are going in the right direction for advancing). Do not turn pump with engine running!

    Should bolt right in Plus some possible plumbing on rear brakes to original. May possibly be 3.55 also even with GV which would be a ++. Hope it works out for you. :thumbsup: :thumbsup::rock:

    A/C Overpressure... or not??

    IF you decide to evacuate and recharge, check the screen on the orifice tube. Some NEW condensers being sold are not properly flushed after assembly and have left-over junk in them. I flush anything new now with non-chlorinated brake cleaner & high pressure dry air 3 times before install.

    You have to worry more about cutting out fan shroud to clear fan at bottom. Don't know about head hitting firewall. Steering shaft may need extension or replacement with longer one.

    People used hockey pucks for body lifts before lift kits were sold. Use at least a grade 5 bolt with as much clear shank (no threads) as possible. You can get large thick fender washers and bolts at McMaster.com or other bolt suppliers.

    Check the bulb sockets & see if any of the contacts are 'squashed'. May have to replace a socket or 2 from overheating.

    Look over the top of the passenger valve cover for large yellow cables that meet at a connector with 3-6 wires in it. Probably burnt inside the connector.

    My brother uses this same type heater in his large shop but does not use forced air in fire box. Heats very well with 6-2" tubes (exhaust pipe) and a box fan as a blower on medium speed. 4 years old now

    Rocker Arm Identification

    Turn the crank & it should tighten the gap. 20# torque is essential. The lifters are hydraulic. If the rockers are not torqued, they will come loose during engine operation.

    At least you took the time to pull the glow plugs and bar the engine over before using the starter. IF you had used the starter w/o doing this you would have bent a rod or 2 I put a rubber floor mat over my filter housing to keep the water out for sure

    Was a member over there at that time as a lot of us old guys were. I have a crank from a 7.3 in my 6.9 now. Pushrods, lifters, rockers, etc.

    Any 7.3 IDI crank will work also. Same part # As long as the same size bearings are used.
