    Are you looking for the power steering pump or the hydroboost unit? I know I could easily buy the pump at my local chain parts store that had a dual return. At least a couple years ago.

    Did you get the info you needed for hydroboost so far? Ask away as you run into questions. Something I forgot to mention in the PM is you need to grab the brake pedal or you can modify your own by moving the brake pin higher on the pedal.

    I cant take credit for the idea but it seems to work well and was super cheap to make. The tube picture shows the bead I made with my clamp as bare since it cracked the paint off vs a factory rolled ridge on the pipe I got.

    hehe, that is how some things work i pick up. i have to keep them in the garage for a "normalization" period. after they have been there several months to a year they have become a normalized citizen of my empire of dirt like they have always been there!

    glad you made it here, lots of good info. what are you looking to know about the hydroboost? i know many love it but surprisingly it was not a big upgrade for me. my vacuum brakes always worked great, i did it because of an engine swap.

    that's what i do, more so anymore with lighter hauling. i don't bother with the truck and just grab a trailer. much lower to the ground and much better tie down locations. i save the truck for camper and heavy firewood hauling.

    a real machinist might scoff at you but i am sure you could make the caps on a drill press with the right size drill bits. i have successfully done other parts this way that sealed on an o-ring.

    this was my solution when i pulled my bed, no need to remove the weld unless some day i upgrade to the super duty bolts. i ran a short bead around part of the bolt. nothing a angle grinder cant fix in 5 min if i actually want to pull the bolts out.

    i am sorry to see that Mike. i am wondering if you were not a victim of a bad fitting, but a victim of fatigue. that is more than most manufactures hang off a fitting and these engines have some serious vibration. edit-oops to late i see you already mentioned that
