    nice, i should pull my tack bar out and do that. with my worn bushings every once in a while i get some wheeble whobble out of it. that drag link would have me crapping my pants though, its sort of important to keeping your truck pointed in the right direction!

    i know how you feel! i finished up changing "most" of the injection pump last night at about 1am. just enough to fire up the truck, confirm it works then go clean up and drop for work the next day.

    from what i remember most places wont make a shaft longer than about 70" to 72". to make a shaft longer it needs to start getting larger in diameter to stay stable. then the larger in diameter you get the more swinging weight and harder to fit and work with everything is. that is what i read...

    if we could somehow pop that little actuator off and mount it to the old IDI set up that would be awesome. now, most things in life do not work that well in practice. i have a graduates degree in that sort of thing LOL i am really interested in just seeing how everything even works.

    LOL i got that part, i was thinking just the small center cap area in the middle of the fan. if all we have to do is turn the small center shaft to activate the fan. could we adapt the 6.4 fan actuator to do that? that way we would be keeping the whole IDI viscous clutch fan itself.
