    Unique and a bit pricy

Umm...you do know that Darrin has been running a successful business selling high quality vehicles for over a decade, right? He isn't talking out of his :moon: ...the value of something may vary based on the region (a rust-free vehicle is worth a LOT more in New England than it is in...

A/C Compressor Blowing Off Refrigerant ???

If memory serves, you did the 6BT conversion yourself. Did you use the Dodge a/c compressor, or did you use the Ford a/c compressor?

    Unique and a bit pricy

I thought the only crew-cabs Dodge built were short-wheelbase trucks? I've seen a few SWB crew-cab Dodges, but I don't recall seeing a LWB Dodge crew-cab. I think putting the diesel VIN on the dash (and putting the diesel dash in the cab) would have been easier than a cab swap. To swap the...

    Unique and a bit pricy

Well, Dodge didn't build a factory crew cab in that era, so there was some serious conversion work done. The stacks and the slushbox need to go, no question about it...and it is a Dodge. But, it is a pretty unique rig, and I'd be lying if I said that the temptation wasn't there. On the other...

Another What Where They Thinking Truck On Ebay

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that there aren't very many Hispanic people in New Hampshire...not to mention very few Hispanics who would paint a Confederate flag on their truck cookoo

    This C-list ad.

I was just about to post the same thing...and, if you don't get nicknamed "8-Ball" after buying this truck, what's the point?!? -cuss :rotflmao

My '84 has cruise control also, and if it didn't, I would have retrofitted it in a long time ago. :) I should have clarified; my apologies...I meant '86 and older trucks that weren't equipped with cruise control, which was a factory option. I don't think I've seen an XLT or Lariat truck that...

    89 F350 DRW with a PSD

FYI even IDI trucks have three modules back there. One's the ABS box...probably the same one on the PSD truck. One's a cruise control computer, and the other one's the chime/buzzer. So, the only trucks that are computer-free are '86 and older IDI trucks that didn't have ABS yet and don't have...

sometimes a "too good to be true" deal does become real.

Unfortunately, the seller on Amazon realized their error and brought the price back up to their normal retail about 24 hours after the sale. But, hey! They honored this sale, and that's a VERY beautiful thing!!! ;Sweet

    Would you trust this hitch

Not sure what you plan to haul, but for what it's worth, take a look here: http://www.oilburners.net/forums/showthread.php?73252-Curt-Class-V-Trailer-Hitch Money well spent IMHO...there's no such thing as overkill when it comes to this! ;Sweet

    Is there any more black....?

For what it's worth, my '01 Jetta TDI turns the oil black immediately after I first run the engine after an oil change, and that's on an engine that's used synthetic oil since new and has been well maintained. Needless to say, my IDI's exactly the same way...and, for that matter, every diesel...

Looks to be a DRW conversion...note the lack of offset on the front wheels.

I ran out of space for pictures in the main post, so here are a few more: RIght and left side kick panels, one each. Typical scratches, but not bad overall. Upper metal trim pieces that go above the windshield and the rear window, one each. Seem to be in good shape. I also have a...

    Curt Class V Trailer Hitch

Agreed re: shipping...I'd be all over this if shipping wouldn't make it cost-prohibitive. Regarding the winch setup, IIRC some people have looked into it, and it's not really practical unless you eliminate the rear fuel tank; if memory serves, the winch mechanism is pretty big. It's a shame...

    Oppertunity

Of course it's your truck and your decision, but if you're going to be doing any freeway runs, and especially long distance runs, IMHO you'll really be happier with the ZF. That overdrive gear is solid gold! The C6 is bulletproof, but it doesn't have a torque converter lockup or an overdrive...

TO THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE PROJECT TRUCKS, PARTS TRUCKS AND TRUCKS OF THIS NATURE.

I've seen newer vehicles lock themselves for no rhyme or reason before...I made it a habit at work that, if I have to get out of a vehicle, either the driver's window is rolled down or the keys are in my hand. No lockouts yet ;Sweet
