I realize the lift and tires don’t help. But it seems like a pain in the butt to remove the lift? It’s my buddies trailer and he probably needs to look the brakes over. So the dodge is a 1999 24v. The biggest reason i didn’t swap it in the first place was the vp44 pump being electric. I’d really like to stay away from the electronics if possible..that is unless I just use the dodge as my beater/hauler..perhaps a p-pump swap would clear out the electric aspect...- 94turbocrewcab-lb

I’m sort of leaning towards keeping the ford and just slowly building it to what I want in a truck, flat bed, dually, 12v p-pump Cummins..I’ve been a Cummins fan for years but as most hear I prefer the ford truck. Couple questions how much for the used pump?..I’ve got a stock turbo motor with brand new stock injectors -would this work well? And why are you getting out of the truck? I posted about possibly moving out of the idi as well..but maybe you can give your 2 cents? After all that work..- 94turbocrewcab-lb

Also I might add if I sold both..I’d sit in the money and keep my eye out for either a 6.0 that needs a motor or another 7.3 running of not..nothing newer and maybe a standard 5.9 Cummins. But I’m fond of fords build quality- 94turbocrewcab-lb

So to get the dodge road worthy.. Things I know -Exhaust (not needed but could use it) -Couple brake lines -Rebuild calipers (both trucks need that) -Maybe a couple tires - windshield -finish welding new floor - fix the 4x4 actuator - there is a slight haze at idle..maybe an oil seal but...- 94turbocrewcab-lb

The thing is I can haul the whole family as I have 5 kids and my wife. So if I was to ever do a big trip we’d need two vehicles. I’m a big believer in spending money on the brakes and it’s on top of my list with rebuilding the front axle. What about towing with 4” lift? It’s just been a while...- 94turbocrewcab-lb

What are IDIs REALLY selling for?
I’d agree the PSD is much more Costly than an idi. I paid 9k for my crew cab 4x4 long bed in pretty good condition. This was in 2018.- 94turbocrewcab-lb

@KansasIDI Not bright compared to whom? It’s a good idea to never say that again! Really please don’t! I work for well to do college elite types and they can’t figure out the most common issues..seriously..if the light needs to be changed call it in! Cheap diesel fuel ok?
I know when I ordered off road diesel the driver was really eyeing all of the diesels we owned..he was a cool anti establishment sort of guy..but I’m not convinced they aren’t willing to rat on someone they might suspect of using home oil or off road illegally.. Removing copper seal
Well I’ve got my fuel system all pulled apart. The injectors in my recently swapped motor are messed up. The rear drivers side was finger tight! Then the copper washer came out totally deformed and looked to be double stacked but it’s just one? The next one pulled came out in pieces so I ground...- 94turbocrewcab-lb

Cheap diesel fuel ok?
Cumberland farms is a pretty large chain down that way..I wouldn’t think to much about it. If you’re over that way get fill it up..but it’s not like some hokey round tank on the back of some ole stop up north.- 94turbocrewcab-lb

1999 white haze
That was my plan..we have nasty stuff on the roads here. But with fuel prices I’ve been driving a 2005 sprinter. Works much better for my business and looks more professional too. To many Diesel engines in the driveway starts to get expensive- 94turbocrewcab-lb
