Throttle return
How's the movement of the throttle without the cable on? Like posted above, if it is normal..... a simple cable will fix it. If not, keep looking at the IP. Fast idle solenoid (like posted above). Advance piston arm... does it move smoothly with the throttle?.... the cam on that moves the...- hesutton

How about a mild pump upgrade... I've heard CDI's Sigma is pretty mild.... are 16mm plungers big???? LOL I hear ya. Poor dad couldn't get anything done when we were kids. My brother broke the frame on his go cart and his dirt bike. I broke some stuff too, but man my brother was a one man...- hesutton

Eh....... getting closer. The wiring is all done on the camper backup camera and trailer tire pressure monitor. What a joy.... Had to pull the all the screw holding the skirt under the camper off the drivers side.... Pull all the old foam insulation off from the tank plumbing and axle...- hesutton

I'd give Mel at Conestoga Diesel a call. IP, injectors, Turbos.... He's been a member here for 13 + years too. Great guy. Awesome IDI power parts. Only IDI IP/injectors/turbo I use. Heath- hesutton

Tell me it's NOT the fuel injection pump.
Sounds like you just have to bleed the system some more. Always fill a new filter with diesel or fuel additive before you install it. Same when cleaning the Duralift filter.... Fill the bowl with diesel/fuel additive before install. You will still need to bleed the system at the schrader...- hesutton

There is a receiver hitch on the back of the fifth wheel with a four pin plug for another trailer. The guy I bought the camper from would double tow. He'd have his boat hitched to the back of the camper. He actually would launch the boat before he would get to the campground. Have his wife...- hesutton

Rob, that was TN 2006........ yes??? I see both Eric and Aric's trucks, Ezekiel (man, I miss his famous bread pudding), Tim's IDI conversion, Mel's Bronco IDI conversion, Joe's rig, BJ's too. What year? What IDI (6.9 - 7.3)? What modifications have been done? Mileage total? Mileage on IP/injectors? Other symptoms? What else have you checked? Still doing it? If so...... any chance you could post up a video? Heath- hesutton

It is part of the trailer (or hauling) package option from Ford. I can't remember the actual Ford term for it now. LOL I plan on mounting it just above the rear storage compartment and running the wiring down under the camper. Gonna pull the skirt off the bottom. Likely bring it out...- hesutton

Used to just throw one on the truck for the rally and use a magnetic antenna. However, a magnetic antenna won't work on my new truck. Aluminum isn't ferrous. LOL Heath- hesutton

Weight question
Keep it under 1100 and you should be OK. Turbo would help. Had a nice drop in EGT's with the addition of Moose turbo from Conestoga Diesel Injection. Made a good difference in towing with the 'ol 6.9. It took quite a bit of fabrication though. What is the weight difference between the two...- hesutton

timing cover gasket or RTV?
X 2! I have used Permatex ultra copper on those gaskets. Again, very thin coat on both surfaces. Brake Kleen the block and cover junction until there is no more oil residue. Heath- hesutton

HARD KNOCK AFTER LIFT PUMP REPLACEMENT
Have you drained your oil since this happened? If so, was it thin and had a diesel smell to it? These mechanical pumps can dump diesel fuel into the crankcase when they fail. If that happened.... you could have a damaged engine. I'd change the oil just to be sure.... wouldn't hurt to do a...- hesutton
