    My 1994 F-350 4x4 CC TD

Thanks! I wish. It hasn't been a priority but what is really holding me back is that I want to utilize the stock air box. I think it is too cool of a piece to throw it out and that really limits my options. Keep poking, I need the motivation. ;Sweet

    Which gear reduction starter?

http://www.dbelectrical.com/p-1345-new-starter-ford-e-f-truck-van-69-73diesel-high-torque-85-9.aspx That is the sheet for my NAPA starter. Physically the starter looks identical to this one from DB:

    Which gear reduction starter?

This was my line of thinking, here is the spec sheet that came with my starter. The DB unit has a higher Kw rating.

    My 1994 F-350 4x4 CC TD

I have replaced several parts on my Truck over the last few months. The first was the Alternator, the rear bearing decided to let loose, so rather than re-brush and bearing it I replaced it with a NAPA oem reman. I am pretty particular about only using factory parts on my vehicles and on the...

    Which gear reduction starter?

I am happy with my Mitsubishi from NAPA. It is identical to the factory unit that had finally had enough. I had always planned on replacing it with a DB Electrical but I love the Lifetime warranty from NAPA.

    Windshield reseal?

Yes, I attempted a half ass job that got me by for a year until the leaks came back. This prompted a full replacement of the OEM glass and a whole bunch of grinding to remove all the corrosion. Most of my trim retaining clips were destroyed in the process. You can see some pics in My Truck...

    My 1994 F-350 4x4 CC TD

With the help of some awesome friends I got my windshield replaced. I was hesitant to take it to a chain glass replacement store and scared of the cost of going to a body shop. I knew I had the beginning of a serious rust issue and that the frame would need to be ground down to fresh steel...

    EGT Behavior.

I'm not sure what else you would like to know? :) I have a healthy fuel system and my temps are very similar to yours. If you are around the Davis County area give me a shout and I would be happy to help you out or just BS about IDI's. This is my first IDI as well and this site has been an...

What are you using to time your engine?

    EGT Behavior.

Sounds normal to me. My probe is also mounted in the crossover per ATS' s instructions. Your foot on the pedal is ultimately what controls EGT. When towing I will pin the throttle to light the turbo and then back off until I can maintain 1150-1200*f.

Has anyone actually damaged their engine from extended time at high EGT's? How long and what temperature?

    separator plate?

I didn't remove my plate. I removed the old gasket with a roloc disc and applied the new gasket between the plate and the WP.

Loctite on IP to gear mounting bolts

I used blue loctite on my pump. I torqued them to 90 in-lbs.

    Oil Filter makers

Dunno. It is identical to the Wix 1734 except it uses glass media. I buy them for a few bucks more than the Motorcraft 1995. Thought I would give it a try.

    Oil Filter makers

I also changed the Ford's oil this weekend and along with its regular fill of Delo 400 I spun on a Napa Gold 1734xe oil filter. http://www.fleetfilter.com/filter/f94-97/51734XE.html It has a 10 micron rating.

    takeing injector pump apart

It is nuts, bolts and a lot of small springs, shims and washers with precise fits and clearances. The magic of pump building becomes apparent when the pump is reassembled and the settings must be calibrated. I don't know of any way to do this without a flow or test bench. I suppose you could...

    The $4 fan clutch fix

I did this with a 22R that I had. It is somewhat popular with the Toyota crowd. I experienced the same results, it worked very well but never totally disengaged. I think I used too much fluid.

They fit really nice. The rims are a tad narrow but nothing unsafe. I have heard some scuffing from the front tires on my bumper but I cannot duplicate it, nor can I see where they are rubbing. It only occurs under perfect circumstances.
