    Starting issues

The voltage fluctuations are from the glow plugs turning on and off. It's called afterglow and usually stops after about 10 seconds. Completely normal

Sensor data for a android app I'm making

There are speedometer cable adapters that go inline to output an electronic signal for the computer in older cars. I think they were in 90s cars and trucks. They retained the cable for the speedometer until they had electronic speedometers.

School me on 2wd Front Brakes

The rotors won't come with bearings or seals. They will only have races pressed in. If you want new bearings you will need to buy them and get new inner seals too. Make sure you buy high quality rotors some are not made very good.

    My answer to "shower heads"

I did the pex pipe segment too. It's rigid enough to not bend around and made a v noch at the end. I haven't installed the tank yet but I think it should work good. I also have the 38 gallon tank so it's a good way to get the pickup to the bottom of the tank.

    Glow plug troubles

40 Amp fuses won't be enough. In the cold the glow plugs can draw 200 amps. You could use 2 100 Amp fuses or 1 200 Amp fuse.this is also why some run a 4 ga battery cable to the glow plug solenoid.

    No start. WTH?

My truck is doing the same thing. It's hot soaking. If I turn it off hot I have to start it in a couple minutes or it won't start for a couple hours. If I pour water over the injection pump it will start right up. I have no money for a new pump now so I have to carry water so I don't get stranded.

    Hypermax Dadiesl IDI Dragster

I think a lot of people would like to know how much power it really made and what it took to do it. A lot of people don't believe it existed.

I ordered their 3g high output rebuild kit. It had everything I needed. That was in December of 2020 and it's working great.

F26 dome light how to open?

There are tabs that snap into the front and back. If you squeeze it carefully it should pop out. You an also use a thin screwdriver to pop it out. But be careful because these lights are old now and I have seen the lens disintegrate. One good thing about them is those lights were used in ford...

    This is a good one

I can believe it. My truck was in a similar condition when I got it. I found 10 cans or ether in it. I was sure it was blown up. Replaced glow plugs lift pump fuel filter and 2 batteries. Lots of cranking and it eventually fired. Smoked real bad but it ran and eventually cleared up. 4 years...

So what did you do with your truck today?

It is very comfy. Had to take it with. Unfortunately the trip got exciting in a bad way. One of my trailer tires went away. At first I didn't even know but driving in the dark revealed flying sparks. So now I need to find a wheel and tire.

    low compression

Do a leak down test first. At least put air in each cylinder to find out where it comes out. Rings valves or head gaskets so you know which way to go.

So what did you do with your truck today?

That makes it more difficult. I try to find a socket that fits tight on the tapered part. But if they are overtightened it's much harder. I also usually throw them out unless the customer wants them back.

So what did you do with your truck today?

Locking lug nuts are easy to remove. Just hammer on an old impact socket on and spin them off. Done it many times. People lose the keys all the time. That's why they put them on all the lugs. They aren't hard to remove.

    Purolator Fuel Filter Question

That is the original type 2 piece filter. Sounds like you have the replacement 1 piece filter. Unless you have the original bottom piece you will need to get the matching replacement. There are several different ones that will fit. I would give you part numbers but I don't know them.

Check the connectors on the glow plugs. If they don't fit on tight they may not work.
