well so you know the friction modifier also allows certain slip and certain engagement I can assure you a properly maintained trac lok with factory style friction disks and slot grooved steal plates doesn't slip easily I have put them to the test offroading and such and i can tell you one wheel...
thats the thing the modifer isn't for slipping its to avoid chatter and the 75w-90 synthetic gear oils already have the right ratio out the gate and most of the friction modifers you find that say theyre for ours is not for our originals as 1mouse3 said the one he got from me is the good one...
Kool I thought those were out of the 6.9 I built a replacement motor for a while back the head was bad a hair line crack between valves ( had a nasty overheat ) the owner of said truck neglected the previous motor badly and worked the living crap out of it he ran it out of oil on interstate at...
not sure exactly but I do have a large assortment of various flame cups / pre cups and such I will go thru them as i bought a few cylinder heads for these said marine engines over the years and almost any internal part I could find years ago along with a few blocks which were the Turbo block...

pump DB2831-5090 1993-94 Marine(260BHP)
yes they existed just super rare they were all the way upto like 340hp the standard marine injection pump says it was 260BHP or brake Horse Power or 263 crank HP this is what the...
I prefer the castrol synthetic gear oil myself I find it is less foamy after some miles are put on it others tend to foam up more after around 10k miles just my experience working on the bigger ISUZU trucks in florida that ran 100+ miles a day always towing a trailer and a load at my old job...
I think I have a few complete sets ( 4 or 5 complete sets ) of the factory ford friction disk and spring sets for the trac lok's like one I sold you when I go thru all my stockpile if you end up needing a set of them let me know.
as I explained to you use the synthetic 75w-90 gear fluid only as...
I may have a few sets of these pistons your needing what did you bore it over to wasn't it 0.020" if so I might have you covered but I don't know when can produce them I bought 5 sets years ago and only used 2 sets I also bought those forged ones from the machine shop over in Peoria Illinois...
The bearings on the trak lok as I said were shot as for the internals they were in good shape as the dif it was out of had low mileage 1 owner but was used towing its entire life but the nut on the pinion yolk was loose and his grandson hopped in it and was not experienced driving a stick and...
ouche that is not good as for the head gaskets they do exist but are rare the OEM manufacturer was Victor Reinz he may well have caused alot of issues for you also now you will need to have your heads pocketed for the valve seats and such to recess your valves back because of clearance issues...
pull valve covers off you may have a broken rocker early motors had the aluminum lockdowns and later ones had the steal ones the early ones often broke causing 1 valve or both or a cylinder to not function properly this is something have come across many times or simply you got a bad intake...
The to4z is literally a direct replacement but a bit bigger for the oem turbo on our old IDI's that is only reason I even linked them just to give a idea the to4E is pretty well the stock turbo if memory serves me correctly.
yes theyre HP is up top but your also playing in a RPM where its like riding a razors edge at that RPM there is so much exhaust flow things get finicky with a twin turbo setup a larger single turbo would have no issue its the fact he is using a turbo for each manifold so he is then restricting...
lol yeah dual 14cm housings would be even higher than that around 1800rpm by my math and peak just over 3000rpms which is to high on our motors our motors like down low in rpm's for power as thats where theyre efficiency curve is to high in rpm's we lose efficiency and only gain heat out of deal...
you forgot to mention that exhaust back pressure becomes a major issue in our engines also if you set them up to run high RPM's will then have tons of turbo lag because you then have to dial system in to handle that amount of exhaust flow for the high RPM's making them not very driveable /...
The issue is the entire fuel system is not designed for high RPM's even hopped up DB2 injection pumps tend to have issues above 3500rpm's also because we are dealing with a indirect injected mechanical injection setup with flame cups in the head pushing the RPM's high means more heat saturation...
block heater and onboard battery charger and fact I can use that set of outlets in winter if am trying to work on the motor or have a issue with cold start can just add another battery charger to that hookup and quickly get batteries charged up just ease of use can use 1 extension cord for...
loading the suspension / driveline means slightly letting clutch out while just barely touching throttle aka 2 footing it your clutch foot is also slightly holding the brake at same time to take all slack out of the driveline / suspension before you lay into it if you get my meaning this way you...
its amazing how ugly a truck can get when used as a tow pig for a few years especially a truck bed it was all pretty now its ugly as can be notice last pic is after like 1-2 years of working it trust me its really ugly now same truck from this video
LOL
nice as said I have the trak lok center carrier for your dif then loose setting beside my tool box in the shop these things are pretty nice and hard to get ahold of for a descent price
these are essentially a posi locker and are very functional for everyday driving
LOL
the trick is having a low enough 1st gear to crawl you can almost dump the clutch and never touch throttle and it will take off with ease this is where the ZF5 comes in especially the big block gasser one it has a very usable 1st and reverse gear that will just crawl can literally crawl in...
which rear dif you got I like the factory clutched trac loks they put in the sterlings myself theyre just enough lock up to get stupid but enough slip to still stear and drive almost like it wasn't there lol.
if you have a sterling 10.25 or 10.50 I have a trak lok clutched center carrier /...
no simply let clutch out get to second gear with clutch fully engaged then you can pretty much mash it but dont rely on the governor to shift keep it in the 2500-2800 rpm then shift if traction breaks loose let out of the throttle or feather it and don't rely on the governor to save you these...
