This was my original plan but I somehow got things twisted up in my wire harness so I punted. It’s nice to have some control over it. I can short cycle it just by flipping the switch on and back off. It kills it as soon as the switch is off.
I put a kill switch in to my controller. After it starts, I turn it off and I’m good for the day usually. If it sets all day and gets stone cold, I flip the switch back on and the controller takes over. Sorta the best of both worlds as far as I’m concerned.
What he didn’t mention is how long it’s taken him to get to that point.

Didn’t take any pictures but it pulled the charge pipe off the turbo on the way to work the other day. Ordered a 6” coupler and trimmed about 1.25” off it. Lots of pipe in the boot now. Should be good to go.

That was a little one. River was full of those browns. Caught some really nice rainbows. 16” of rainbow trout jumping out of the water on 4lb test and a 9’ toothpick for a rod is a good time.
This is why I use the washer fluid. You are absolutely right. After a while, the wipers take it off. Hit the squirters and if it’s not completely toasted, it comes back pretty easy. You have to keep up with it though. Give a shot ones in a while when it’s not raining or raining lightly.

So really it was a pretty uneventful trip as far as the truck was concerned.
Traveled out I-68 truck and trailer. The headwinds were absolutely brutal. Like 30-50 mph brutal. Truck got pretty warm on Big Savage but cooled right off at the summit. I’m not sure the fan ever...
The real question is what does the smoke smell like (not from the roast although I’m sure it was more pleasant). If it’s diesel look at the injectors. A bad injector will make a lot of noise and smoke. If it smells like coolant.... well.... that’s a less pleasant situation most likely.
There’s a specific bbc plate that fits without modification. Watch and make sure it sets flat. The block casting can get I. The way and it will never seal if you get the wrong one.
I have a hard time getting mine to drop. Just free reving it really doesn’t seem to do much. I want until she was loaded and working hard that it made a noticeable difference.

I think what that data is telling you is that the limitation is your plumbing not the pump. Which tank were you on? I can see a difference from front to rear tank. I suspect the difference is several more feet of line.
There’s a thread here somewhere that Mel discussed the effect of fuel pressure on the pump. I don’t have time to look for it but I seem to remember for every 1 psi over 7 (I think) you loose 1/4 degree of advance. If memory serves (and that’s shakey) it really only affects the bottom end...

You know, I wondered the same thing. I use the Rainex washer fluid and love it. Might be worth a shot. The windshield stuff works great for actual rain at speed. Fabulous. For misty rain and road spray it doesn’t do much good. That’s been my experience.
I did exactly this. My inlet line is a 3/8” to 1/8 npt stainless swagelok fitting that has been bored through to something over 1/4” ID (closer to 5/16” but I don’t remember exactly). It had plenty of meat for structure. It’s not like we are dealing with high pressure here. IIRC the outlet...
Question. Does it still use 1/8 npt inlet and outlet fittings or did it jump up to 1/4? I would hope with the bigger hex bits it would have bigger fittings but maybe not.
