New insight in IDI burning WMO - need high compression or turbo

What recepy of WMO youre burning there? I had resonable succes with a oil/ gasoline mix (can't remember the percentage anymore,) but just enough gasoline to make the viscosity right. can't say that I had any negative effects on the injectors (that I noticed) , the only thing I remarked is that...

New insight in IDI burning WMO - need high compression or turbo

opening up those holes from the heat shield would defeat the reason why they're there, to keep the ignition heat away from the injectors.

gas cans, do you think this guy is right?

I came up with this video, and I thought these "standard" red US gas cans were a catastrofe, certainly due to certain Californian laws, and now this guy almost declare the contrary, what do you think?

    IP question

I thought also at the showerheads. eventually to clean the tanks I used a cement mixer and attached the tanks on it with a few shovels of gravel in there, that did the job, clean as new inside! Off course, don't forget to give it a good flush!

any known steering querks for '89 F-350

As I said, I wasn't aware of any play in those, I only noticed that some of the rubber caps were weathered due to the sun. After all it's an extremely low mileage truck. Then at the inspection they have this hydraulic torture machine for truck steering, and that revealed to the inspector that my...

any known steering querks for '89 F-350

Hello, are there any known steering perks for a 1989 F-350? I had mine already popping it's steering reservoirs lid, and now when driving there's a slight vibration (transmitted by the steering pump I think). My question includes the tie rod bar (or what is it's english name?)

is it possible to change only these rubbers?

Well, I think that mine are rotted out as well, just not by using, she's 35 year old, and only has about 10342 real miles on the odo, this is damage due to stockage, or better; not using it. No, I don't like many government arranged things, but with these road-safety tests I'm happy, even when...

is it possible to change only these rubbers?

Hmmm, Today I passed the technical control, with a side note, I've one month to replace these joints, they have such a hydraulic steering violator, and that made clear all my steering joints need replacing. does anyone here know if I can press them out and replace? or just replace the whole bar...

And you know what? Today My truck passed for it's traffic inspection or technical inspection or whatever you call it? Oil sludge; My oil was changed every 7500Km, no liquid leaks, CVS works, Only reason I see might still be the piston rings blowby? due to worn engine. I never had to use the cold start advance lever before, then at a certain day I couldn't start my engine in a regular way anymore, and pulled...

Another good reason to stay out of Calif.

I don't know about Volvo, but I recently heard that Freightliner stopped EVERYTHING that has to do with E-trucks, R&D, Production, selling etc. I do think that for use like in above situation it would be a good alternative, while on the long haul they are worthless as far as I read. For Ship's...

Another good reason to stay out of Calif.

In that future, I guess that we all need to go out and buy "wellies", or high rubber boots (how do you call them in the USA?) on the other hand, If drinking water becomes rare, and more and more expensive, why could Hydrogen not being made from sea water? then you make a bucket at your exhaust...

    Unknown electronics?

I've been quite busy under the hood lately, and discovered this piece of electronics, Passenger side, front of the engine, about at the foot of the injector pump. just at the end of a string of cables. Does anyone recognise this? or at what it serves?
