Pillar post gauges '94 F350 crewcab 7.3 idiT

Yeah, in the middle of. . . the beginning of a suspension swap/4X4 conversion, installation of the Tadi brothers rear view camera, which reeks of china quality and currently is not working yet, I just jury rigged the monitor and no signal (?) A problem for tomorrow. Added the "Wide Vehicle" 3...

94 F350 dually drum or disc brakes?

Nice to have OEM rear disc. This '94 F350 disc option is an add-on kit. The kit uses GM disc pads from a. . . 79 Caddy Eldorado(?) Compared in physical size to the Ford pads of the current era, they are already undersized. 8X170 Alcoa's might be an option. Now if i can find a set sometime...

94 F350 dually drum or disc brakes?

Wowza! Lot of good replies and the disc are fading into the back ground noise. Then again, I do have 2 other, 8 on 6 wheels, 3/4 ton trucks that could use the change. I should look into the SD axles for the Sterling 10.25 axle but that would change the wheel bolt pattern and I do like the...

94 F350 dually drum or disc brakes?

'94 F350 crewcab 7.3 idiT. Rear brake conversion to the disc brake or keep it drums? Lets add the hydro~boost conversion on this as well as I already have those parts. My biggest question seems to be the large friction area of drum brakes or the effectiveness of the inboard rear disc? As long...

    Truetrak and Elocks Oh My!

I took the Truetrack for a ride yesterday and it performed flawlessly. No excessive engagement with the F350 crew cab 7.3 idiT/E4od. I even climbed a goat trail of a road and it was smooth without any sort of excessive engagement. When it did lock up, there was no sudden jerk but rather a smooth...

    Truetrak and Elocks Oh My!

I figure about $1250 will get the E~locker on the Dana 60 so I can pick up switchable 4x4 operation. Got the truck on the ground tonight and a test drive tomorrow to see how it goes. I have a feeling it will be a bit aggressive on power thru turns in regards to daily driving.

    Truetrak and Elocks Oh My!

Well the tittle to the thread was fun. If your old enough to remember the reference. In the process of laying on the gravel driveway installing the Truetrak into the 94 idiT crewcab dually. I figure it might be a bit more aggressive than I desire, especially climbing a particular road...

    Cab Water leak . . . .

You guys ain't funny! 'Cuz it makes too much sense. Oh fudge. Thanks for the tip. I will be looking at that soon enough.

    Crewcab 4X4 conversion.

Yeah, the brain hurts for this particular act of silliness. '94 idiT crew cab dually. Replacing the stock rear differential with a "True Trac". Same for the front? Front axle will be the Dana 60 swap. Thanks for your time.

    Cab Water leak . . . .

Two different trucks (86,87 F250) with a water leak inside the cab in same location. Under the dash, upside down above the non~existent clutch pedal. Any ideas? Meanwhile the '94 idiT crew~cab is doing just fine.

Starter drama. This can happen to anyone with a diesel. Or maybe just me.

Payson, AZ. Just down the road is Rye Az. On top of a mesa in the Rye area, my sister has her hacienda for sale. I heard there are 1200 of them in that area. Hope you have A/C with 100 degrees this week.

Got it done. Diamond eye Exhaust // '94 idi 7.3 turbo

1356 with the PTO can be found easily enough if you spend some time on it. I didn't take ground clearance into account until I looked at it after the install. Oops. Initial cost was not too big a factor to start this project, bet the added cost of everything was getting prohibitive and then the...

Got it done. Diamond eye Exhaust // '94 idi 7.3 turbo

"noisey did you bring him a 2x4 rig? Please explain the pto issues with the 1350..." I took them a 02/94 7.3 idiT 2wd E4OD with the first 127K on the odometer. That is still in process of a 4X4 changeover. The transfer case is in place. The Diamond Eye 4" exh pipe runs right past the transfer...

Got it done. Diamond eye Exhaust // '94 idi 7.3 turbo

"The downpipe prototype was the issue they had when I called the tech guy 2 years ago. He said we could use a psd kit for the obs stroke and adapt to the upiping\down pipe ect. To the idi downpipe... But he needed a test mule (guess we slacked off to long)" I gave them the "test mule" they had...

Got it done. Diamond eye Exhaust // '94 idi 7.3 turbo

That 9 hour round trip was educational for me in many aspects. The cost of the "Free" system was far from free. I did put a 1356(?) BW Transfer case with the PTO drive option and the exhaust pipe was run about 3~ inches from the PTO cover plate. The bung for the Pyro did not get welded in. The...

    02/94 F350 4.10 diff rebuild // clutch kit and spiders rec ??

" notorious for wearing out..." is a true enough statement. Yukon offering the carbon fiber clutches might prolong it's life span. I should contact Yukon and see what they have to say as for anticipated life span. Eaton True Track or the Detroit might be the way I go. Now as for the electronic...

    Super cab seat options

Low back seats are great until you find out whiplash is not a good thing. AS for measurements, a trip to the junk yard and a similar model might come in handy. I am in the same process with an older truck and a trip to the junk yard with seats already removed was informative.

    02/94 F350 4.10 diff rebuild // clutch kit and spiders rec ??

I figure with a ton of weight in the back, I should not have a great need for a posi. The Detroit locker might be an option. I am already about $30 or $35K into this toy and the thought of adding another grand for a posi is not far out of the question with a few exceptions. One being...

    02/94 F350 4.10 diff rebuild // clutch kit and spiders rec ??

02/94 crewcab F350 4.10 gears 7.3 idiT. Chasing my tail, figured out by the bolt count on the diff cover and the vin plate sticker, this is the Sterling rear diff. Supposedly it is the 10.25 family. Supposedly it is supposed to be a limited slip, per the application, It don't. I am looking...

    Oil pressure/ Temperature and level

So far the hips only really flared up once. Those would get my attention very quickly quite possibly. The wife underwent a round with stenosis and has a cute platinum cage in her back holding her together for now. I did the L/5-S/1 blown disc and she has done L/4-L/5 and S/1. Getting old is not...

    Oil pressure/ Temperature and level

Fused vertebrae? I did a discectomy back in '98. Nephrectomy (kidney removal) in '17, full left knee in '19 and full right knee in '20. Each one with it's own separate pains. Once the hips screamed at me not long ago. Everything else I could push through. Hip pain stopped me dead in my tracks...

    Oil pressure/ Temperature and level

Call me stoopid. The thought of expanding oil never crossed my mind. So running the oil level 1/2 up or down the cross hatch is a good way to go. Now when the right knee replacement heals and the weather stops leaking out this direction, I can get to installing the gauges, back up camera, rear...

    Oil pressure/ Temperature and level

Wix filter number. . . I forgot. It takes about a quart just to fill it. First oil change with the total of 3 gallons brought the full mark right up to the top of the "full" area on the dipstick. This oil change being 1/2 way up the checkered area on the dip stick and I will see how that works...
