    Funky exhaust setup

The previous owner removed the Banks turbo from the truck I purchased. What was underneath the truck is what looks to be the old Y pipe that had been hacked and a, well, custom exhaust installed. The exhaust was connected with some sort of metal foil wrap and some screws. Certainly less...

Alternator V-belt pulley slipping when swapping to 3G alt

How would one go about running a second belt? I see reference to it on just about every v-belt 3g alternator thread but haven't seen anyone actually do it. Searched to no avail through quite a few threads so far this morning with no results.

And if it matters, the first one was from a Taurus, the second one was from a 96' E series, though I cannot tell a difference.

Alternator V-belt pulley slipping when swapping to 3G alt

The pulley is not even close to touching the ribs pictured above. I did grind away on the face just in case, however that is not where it is binding. It is binding internally. I put the pulley on a different alternator and used a 1.2mm thick spacer and it fits great, no issues at all that I...

Alternator V-belt pulley slipping when swapping to 3G alt

This is what the sticky says regarding spacing: "The alternator bolts right in, you will re-use your existing bottom bolt, and use the top (metric) bolt that came with the 3G alternator. Those with V-belt drives, you will have to shim your V-belt pulley out slightly (about 2mm) to keep it from...

Custom gauge cluster in progress I tried to freehand the gauge mounting to less than desirable results. I ended up making a gauge template and using that to get the rough basics. It still required spacers to be fabricated. It is made of wood for now until I can make something more permanent...

My original 19 gallon tank had a bad sender (10-73 ohms) The new-to-me Bronco (33 gallon, 38?) tank had a bad sender as well (16-158 ohms) I am installing aftermarket gauges and a custom gauge cluster so I decided to switch everything over to a 16-158 ohm sender due to the scarcity of the...

Modified the fuel pickup in both tanks using PEX line. Added a dedicated ground as the POR-15 on the tanks prevents a solid ground, didn't want to risk installing them then finding out later. Tapped hole for a bolt for ground (not screwed down in picture)

    Fuel Tank Breather Modification

I followed the idea from the beginning of this thread for my fuel filler neck. Ut took me a couple of reads for it to make sense, adding pictures in case it helps someone else. I may have drilled into the wrong side, will see how it works out when installed.

Rocker pivot wear - 6.9 rocker arms

The thing that looks like a crack looks to be a casting defect on that one bridge. Push rods look ok, even some of the copper/brass coloring exists on the rocker end. Valve face looks in good condition, I was able to ascertain that by pictures found elsewhere. Found a Pick N Pull with a '92...
