    Well got the inner bit set in place... Then checked this edge and marked it... Then with it bent and in place... I was able to plot the offset needed... I did not like the aggressive step to the floor and tried again... This time it came out better and fit good...

    I would think with algae it would take a lot more time than a year, like with my truck that had ten year old or more fuel. Could be a posibility looking back at photos of both my filters from when that was a issue. I would think Id get a black grit from that, who knows.

    Was thinking to continue with the 3/16 rivets or should I go to a 1/4 inch? The 3/16 have a minimum shear strength of 1300 lb and tensile strength of 1000 lb. Where the 1/4 is at minimum shear strength of 2500 lb and tensile strength of 1850 lb. Will have to check metal thickness for grip range.
