    7.3 IDI Cranking but not catching.

    Actually the batteries are in parallel. Series would make it a 24 volt system. You are correct though it takes a lot of amps to roll these engines over. Glow plugs along take around 200 amps when that system first turns on.

    How are you checking boost? Just revving up the motor or driving under load. Most turbos really do not provide much boost under no load conditions.

    On the very last test which is voltage drop from the battery to the controller is the 12.20 what you read? If so it would appear that you have a bad connection/wire issue from the battery to the controller. About .3 volt drop is about all I would expect to see. Normal rule of thumb is .1 volt...

    You may not be able to drill a cross as I believe they are harden. Was it a fitting that had a ball in the end and screw driver slot to screw into the cross? If so those take a needle fitting to grease.
