So what did you do with your truck today?

    Unfortunately, I can't change that.

Poor throttle response after replacing return lines

Take the return line off, at the IP, so that most of the return lines are AFTER where you took it off. Blow into it with your mouth. Not an air compressor. It should flow freely. If not, that might be your problem.

So what did you do with your truck today?

You guys apparently have a lot more room between the seat and the pedals. Mine is a standard cab. My seat is back as far as it will go. And that tropicana bottle jammed between the seat and the brake pedal holds the pedal pretty much about all the way down, no problem.

    Windshield sealant

I have never tried the stuff. I can't remember that well, but I don't think Project Farm gave flex seal tape any better marks than Gorilla tape. I'll have to do a search and see if I can find that info again.

    Windshield sealant

When it gets that bad, you pretty much have to cut out old metal, and weld in new. Reason I asked... Most tapes will NOT last in this area. Gorilla tape is the only tape that I have found to actually seal, no matter what, and stay sealed. And LAST!!!. The tape I just pulled off, had been...

    Windshield sealant

I generally just call the mobile windshield guys and they provide the windshield.

So what did you do with your truck today?

I just have an old tropicana jug that is the perfect size for jamming between the front seat and the brake pedal. Lets me check the brake lights by myself, anyway. LOL Yeah, I get pissed when someone decides my old jug is trash... "That's a precision instrument there, young-un. Toss that back...

I agree. The carriers look a little loose as well. Replace them.

    Windshield sealant

My attempt at disarming humor. :) I fully intend to do it right. I just can't justify or afford doing it yet. If yer going to intentionally kludge, then you might as well do the best job of it that you can. Hence the thread...

    Windshield sealant

Like I said. That's not going to happen for now. I just need it to last a couple more years. You can't shame me by calling it mickey mouse, because that is exactly what I intend to do. LOL Eventually I WILL do exactly as you suggest. Only when it comes down to it, I'll cut the glass out, my...

What kind of tape did you use?

    Windshield sealant

That is the one I have been considering instead of the lexel.

    Windshield sealant

Not going to happen here. Maybe if I ever decide to replace the windshield. But for now, I just want to get it sealed up for a couple more years. I've never had that experience with lexel. It has always sealed. Even when wet and/or cold. It has sealed to everything from glass to metal, to...

    Windshield sealant

I don't know if this should have been posted somewhere else. If it should have, please feel free to move it. My windshield leaks at the top. A couple years ago, I just laid gorilla tape over top of the trim. Even though it was cold and wet, when I applied the tape, it actually sealed, and...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Bungy cord is exactly how I handled it at first, on this truck. Even drilled two holes for each filler, in the top of the bed side rail, to hook the two ends of the bungy cord into. Even at that, I had to set it at less than full force, or it would constantly kick off. The only real changes...

So what did you do with your truck today?

That's the good one! Way better pic than I could get. :) Are you sure that you are getting the nozzle all the way down in there? Maybe the nozzle at my station is larger??? It does service semi's. And this pump pumps way faster than any diesel pump at any other gas station I have used. But...

So what did you do with your truck today?

I wonder if the flow of air up from the tank is being impeded? I don't know what could do that, but it seems strange to me that some people have the problem, and then stop having the problem and all they did was to remove the filler, and put it back. My other thought is to wonder if you could...

So what did you do with your truck today?

I don't think gutting the rollover valve is what did that. I think it is just that I finally realized the purpose of the way that the filler is set up. Let me explain. In this pic you can see how the inner hose is inside the outer hose. The fuel goes down the inner hose. Air comes back up the...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Got the front fuel tank done! Finally have two fuel tanks again. I gutted the rollover valve. Put a brass tee at the end of some vinyl hose, to replace the showerhead. Epoxy coated the sender unit plate before I installed it. Everything else pretty much routine. Went to fill it up. Shoved that...

I didn't do the vent mod. But it looks like you got the answer in the other thread. :)

    Front tank sending unit.

Well, this stuff IS blue! LOL It was pretty liquid when being applied, but thickened up pretty quickly. It was pretty much glue, in seconds. I'm betting it is providing a good seal. Also, after I used a brush and brake cleaner to clean all the threads on the tank, and inside the 'lid', it did...

Fuel tank filler neck hose removal.

Pretty much, yeah. But I am tired of messing with this. Also frustrated because of stupid little things like I was positive I had some 3/8 fuel line, and I found out I don't. I don't want to drive 40 miles into town to pick up a tiny piece of fuel hose, so I am going to end up using a small...

Fuel tank filler neck hose removal.

Screw it. I'm putting it back on with only one change. I am going to cut that inner hose off, level with the entry to the tank. That way, it doesn't start running back up that hose before the tank is full. Or maybe 1/2" inside the tank. Everything should continue to work the way it is supposed...

Fuel tank filler neck hose removal.

This isn't a plastic hose. It is a small rubber hose. It goes all the way from the filler neck, to inside the tank. The fuel runs down through this into the tank, and the air vents out the larger hose that is around it. Here is what they look like. Mine is of course the 87 and up. It fills...

RABS valve bypass. A completely different take.

Sorry it took me a while to realize there was a question here. Here is a pic of the valve, taken apart. The green line points to the O-ring that is inside there. It is supposed to seal in the bore that the other end of the green line points to. I believe this O-ring commonly leaks. If that...
