Here is a quick diagram of my own GP relay setup.
The relay is a 400 amp rated relay.
The pushbutton switch is exactly the same switch that Cubey used.
The fuse is a 10 amp fuse.
I have had zero problems with this setup if you don't count the cheapo quality of the newer beru glow plugs. I...
The ohm rating IS the same for both sending units. Otherwise the gauge/system would be wonky.
Having just installed a front tank on mine, recently, I have a bit of experience with this.
The sending unit that I used was from a totally different tank. All I did was to bend the rod, so that it...
I would make sure it isn't in 4wd.
Start it. Push the clutch in. Put it in 1st. And let the clutch out all the way, slowly.
If it stalls, just do it several times, to see if it changes. And to see if the problem makes itself apparent.
If it just keeps stalling, and nothing changes, let the...
Yep. I tossed a 4-way wrench in the scrap bin once, for exactly that reason. The sockets on it were too shallow. Worthless.
But a good quality one is worth it's weight in gold.
Didn't know. But now I am wondering if that is what was wrong with the 89.
Replaced the power steering pump, still had problems with it being very sloppy. Suspected the steering box. Would have been pissed to replace that as well, and still have the problem.
89 is parked in the back 40 now...
Did you try turning the headlight bulbs in the direction I suggested?
Did it make a difference?
Mine were just like yours. No difference.
Now that the bulbs are oriented correctly, and the headlights aimed correctly, they are great!
Much better light at the dim setting, and even better at...
The Dang Master Frakker???
I think I've heard that mentioned a time or two in home garages...
Well, something like that.
Whatever they was talkin bout went right over my head. And they were too busy picking up the parts they had just thrown around, to explain to me what what kind of...
Yep.
Pull the bulb holder out.
The back end of the holder looks like a "D".
The bulb should be installed into the housing with the flat being horizontal and on the upper part.
In the reviews... I am assuming that the complaints are probably because they have installed them incorrectly.
These can apparently be adjusted once installed.
I know that with the regular bulbs, you can actually get them installed at almost any incorrect angle. If the high and low beam sides...
Fixed the LED backup bulb in the driver's side taillight today.
I have covid. But felt good enough to try to do that.
Got it changed but the weakness, difficulty breathing, pains, etc, forced me to stop before I even got the screws back in the light housing. LOL
I'll finish that up tomorrow.
