There are three feed bolts Two in the center support. One in the OD piston. They have a tendency to back out if reused.
You will see them in your manual when you get it.
Code 29 and 56 are a sign of a failing solenoid pack.
If you break a connector replace it. Solenoid pack connectors can be found at any good parts store. If you broke the transmission range sensor get a new one. It will come with a new connector in the package.
Sounds like the valve is hanging up in the accumulator body. There might be some crud or the springs are tangled or broken. If there was an issue with the direct clutch, reverse would be failing too.

The E4OD run with the converter unlocked until operating temp is reached. This is a basic function for all E4/4R100 units. The tranny will warm up with the engine idling, just not quickly. Once the converter starts spinning it will create heat.

Transstar is what Ford uses in their trannys. Alto is an aftermarket company commonly used in performance applications.
You can get a replacement pigtail for the solenoid pack at NAPA or fleabay.
Broken connectors are very common because people like to use screwdrivers to release them. Always squeeze the tabs and pull to release.
