Rear Axle Oil Seals R&R...Easy or PITA?
I can’t imagine the grease had anything to do with it. There is the scotseal that seems to be the favorite. I know there was a seal upgrade from ford at some point. Don’t know exactly what change was made to it. This is the correct Scot seal.- laserjock

General AT’s? @no mufflers is running them on his truck. I’ve got highway generals on mine with no issues so far. I put generals on the wife’s car too. So far so good. Years ago I had a set of uniroyals on a 1500 gmc. They went all oval on me for some reason. Don’t know what the deal was with...- laserjock

Check all your cables. Maybe have your starter tested. It’s one of those things that flat batteries will speed the decline of your starter because it has to draw more current to make the same wattage. It just spirals. Same with the starter, if it’s getting weak, it takes longer to start so it’s...- laserjock

Trip report: 1150 ish miles. Lost track of the gallons of fuel but it always seemed to ballpark at about 10 mpg. Truck ran pretty good. It was very hot on the way down. Saw a good bit of 220-230 water temp. Nothing unmanageable and had the AC on the whole way. Coming home, it was a bit...- laserjock

Interesting you say that. While junkyarding we ran across a 6.0 van. Metal tanks on the IC but it’s much thinner than the truck units. It was intriguing enough that @no mufflers left with it. It could be a very low profile solution.- laserjock

You aren’t getting a good signal off the crank. It shows the offset if it’s not getting a good crank signal. Been there.- laserjock
