    There is one pad on there, actually all of them are NOT brown. But when they go bad one of the pads will turn brown in color. That brown pad is tell tale they are bad.

    The test strips will have a brown pad if they are bad. Can’t remember which one but that is tell tale. Might be other ways. Acustrip won’t do you wrong.

    @bulletpruf as Cubey said, strips will work perfectly. I have the old green coolant as well. The molybdenum will just read blank (white i think) and you will just read the nitrite portion. The graph on the bottle accounts for this.

    Are you allowed to run a piece of pipe safely out of the way to give a little cooling? Or connect all head and block drains? Friend of mine use to connect all the block drains to the WP and the back of engine to the bypass on the WP on his dirt track car.
