My truck wont cut off
Maybe keep a CO2 fire extinguisher handy if you anticipate a diesel runaway? I would suspect CO2 released into the air intake should kill off the combustion without ruining the engine innards? This is just a personal speculation as to how I would handle it if I thought the thing was likely to...- BeastMaster

What others parts can swap from a gasser
Are the instrument clusters compatible between the vans and trucks/Broncos? ( IDI's ). They sure look the same on the Ebay photos.- BeastMaster

7.3L IDI Battery Load Test
I note mine ( "Interstate" brand batteries... two years old ) drop to 10.5 during cranking... glow plugs still ON. Electric fuel pump running, but no other loads on the battery. Outside temp around 70 degrees F. Starts almost immediately ( 1 revolution or so ) - or around 0.5 second.. usually...- BeastMaster
