    Oil deal (Maine)

Yeah but it's so much more fun when we only have mud season and everything is just brown and soggy for 6 months :frustrate At least when winter actually shows up it's a LITTLE bit nicer....

    ATS 088 downpipe

@Jonnyboy0859 No I didn't. After talking to some people I'm planning on modifying a powerstroke downpipe. Sounds like it should be fairly close. I just ordered a whole exhaust for a 95 and will modify that.

So what did you do with your truck today?

I did too actually although it wasn't 6 years, 3 or 4 for me. Technically my old one was a 90. I've missed my old 90 ever since I sold it and bought a truck. A lady at Church had given it to me. It was her father's car. It wasn't in as good shape as this but it was close. This one has far more...

So what did you do with your truck today?

They changed in 91. I had a 90 while I was in high school and it was the same style. 91 started the "bubble" years. Unfortunately this year has the computer controlled carb. My 90 had EFI. Not that it's a problem, but that old GM TBI was pretty solid. You're not kidding, especially since it...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Long story short, I had a coworker hook me up with a car his mother in law was getting rid of. I picked it up last week and today I took it to the carwash. I may not get much love with a GM in here but holy cow this thing is CLEAN 1987 Caprice Classic. 74k miles one owner and NO ROT just...

    Jesus Freak's WMO tow truck

Ya know you made me look back through the messages to see what I told you. I told you if I decided to sell them I'd let you know. Ironically the one that isn't damaged is the passenger side which happens to be the side that IS damaged on Diego. I mean.... I knew you would find those other...

    2024 Mid-Atlantic Events

This one is at AOAA on October 19th. I'm thinking about going but not sure yet. @Danielle I know they have atv/SxS trails but I don't know any details really. Haven't been there yet. @hacked89 you have plans that weekend yet?

"Tank" my 91 Crew Cab Dually

Actually you and I already discussed that, I'm just so darn slow working on this that it was several months ago! The link below will take you to my reply from last time, even though the text it's showing is from a different post, weird...

Replaced glow plug relay with White Rodgers, still doesn't work.

I honestly don't remember and apparently never put pictures in my thread.... I'm pretty sure I did though because I remember mounting it on the controller and being surprised how well it fit.

Replaced glow plug relay with White Rodgers, still doesn't work.

That's the same relay I used it's likely your controller has failed if everything else is new. I do agree the glow plugs could be the problem if they're Chinese fakes.

Fueling issue with only the rear tank

Definitely sounds like a restriction or it's pulling air. You may want to pull the sending unit out and see if it's reaching the bottom of the tank or if the extension has come off. Also, the plastic strainer likes to fall apart and pieces of it can get sucked up the line and cause a...

"Tank" my 91 Crew Cab Dually

I'm sure some of my piddly little updates are dull for you guys but I'm just happy for any progress I can make and keep plugging along no matter how small. Bolts showed up today and I got everything tightened up WITH BLUE LOCTITE. I'm happy with how it turned out! Started the bolts in the...

"Tank" my 91 Crew Cab Dually

Cut the stall mat to 24x32 which is roughly what I measured the tank bottom to be. The tank has a little bump out on the bottom, probably to act as a sump? I trimmed the center out of the stall mat to clear that. The bump out isn't centered so I just took the smallest measurements and cut the...

"Tank" my 91 Crew Cab Dually

I plan to distort a thread with a punch on each and then use loctite as well. Definitely don't want this thing deciding to take a vacation! Yessir. Plan was to put "drainage" side up so the salt won't be sitting against the tank and I can just wash it out but I'm not sure because that side...

"Tank" my 91 Crew Cab Dually

As promised here's my unnecessary overcomplication. I didn't want to use the spacers and extra long bolts. I'm sure they're fine but I was able to find a way to play with my tools and do something unique. 5/8 hex bar stock drilled and form tapped to 3/8-16. Roughly 5.5" long up front and 6"...

    Question on disassembling injectors

They come apart just fine with a couple wrenches or a vise. The only time I've seen that spacer with the pins break was on an injector that was already destroyed anyway. That being said I've only had about 12 of them apart so maybe I just got lucky?

"Tank" my 91 Crew Cab Dually

My luck isn't usually better than anyone but I appreciate the optimism hahaha. I needed another drill bit so I went to lunch, then went to Lowe's for the drill bit and some stuff to build the wife a small shelving unit. Got back home and realized I somehow managed to bring the wrong boards home...

"Tank" my 91 Crew Cab Dually

I'm not on speaking terms with either of you now LOL But... At least I knew what I had to do so there's that hahaha Those darn lips on the side where the two halves meet are the problem. If it wasn't painted already I probably would have beaten them flat and it would have gone in.

    Tires... Tires.... Tires....

I'm certainly not qualified to answer but I wish someone could chime in who knows the way to calculate that properly. 300# isn't that heavy but I would love to know what that equals at the axle with 5-6 feet of leverage. Figure the hitch is maybe 2 feet from the axle centerline plus the 4'...

    ANTI SEIZE on INJECTOR LINES?

I've started putting never seize on brake lines under the nut too. Up here in the rust belt they need all the help they can get.

    AC Vacuum Line

Get some vacuum hose from the parts store that fits snug. I tried the heat shrink on the washer hose and when the engine bay got hot it softened up and let go. That is used with AC but it's not only for the AC. That's the recirculation/fresh air door. Vacuum closes it to allow recirculation...

    Diego Revisited

A few months ago when driving down to @hacked89 place I realized I had no heat. Put the radiator blanket on and ran it. I'm finally getting around to dealing with this.... I was wondering if maybe it wasn't a motorcraft thermostat but I think that's a date/lot code because the new one is...

    19-38 gal tank sending unit

I'll chime in here because I'm the type of person who doesn't like hacking stuff up knowing I may very well change my mind later.... I'm planning on cutting up an old FSV and jumpering the rear tank sending unit wires and filling it with epoxy. That way I can just plug it into the factory...
