Should I pull the trigger or wait until I have my engine torn down?
Do you know what the bore is now? ..020 rings requires an overbore from stock bore dimensions. Try the stuff above, or look up auto rx on here. Once along time ago, guys claimed it worked. Disclaimer Guys also purported the faccett lift pumps, so grain of salt and all...- Clb

Serpentine belt came off. Tensioner failed ?
There's 2 styles closed and open. There's 1 for serpentine belts with a shock and 1 without Do check the little locating stud/***/boss that keeps it from rotating. If you turn it the wrong way, it snaps off... Sounds like it may have overheat issues.. Check oil and coolant for the next 100...- Clb

Well my barn queen has only 60k factory miles, I removed the first factory part besides the tires ( coolant lines.) from it just recently after nursing the bricknose tanks with good oem breathers when this one did that crap, I opted to upgrade it with stuff any red blooded American should be...- Clb

Turbo chra slop???
Search feature failed to deliver... After the roadtrip with a totally plugged air filter , seems like the cartridge bearings took it pretty HARD... ;Pissed How much slop is the upper limit before the inevitable result happens? I'm sure "zero" is the appropriate answer. Thanx for looking Cb- Clb

The 2 issues with the failed shower heads are 1 the chance of the debris could get drawn into the fsv and jam it up. 2 the showerhead is responsible for picking up the last 1/4 of the tank (give or take), if it breaks off ...- Clb

I'm too SLOW ^^^ Do it right ONCE, there are several threads addressing this issue , one thing often missed is pre filter application in front of the fsv,,,, You have disintegrated showerhead materials in the tank to deal with, some report them getting into the fsv, some not so much. thus ymmv...- Clb

This Merc ain't FROZEN!!!
Salt sux I had a bumpside dually once, the prior owner used to haul an aluminum boat with, being a C.O.B. he would launch the boat by backing up till it floated outta the bed:frustrate... Needless to say that when it needd rear brakes it went away. Everything was salt welded in situ. :Whatever:- Clb
