ZFS542 Spring?
Under the four-bolt cover there is an interlock plate to keep you from going to reverse from 5th, IIRC... What model Miller Mig..? I have used a few different ones and they never steered me wrong... Isn't it really satisfying when you put together a good and strong fixture..? Gets me grinning bigger'n a dog who somehow locked the cat outside...- XOLATEM

Oil pressure delay
I'll probably start mine today because I need to use the crane (electric)...so I'll watch it closer than usual and report back. Oil pressure delay
I have one question...does the line you use to get oil pressure to the guage have any air in it...? If yes...then I would bleed the air first and then re-test... If no...then look for a reason for the oil system to bleed down... What kind of oil are you running and what kind of filter...?- XOLATEM

1986 A/C-Heater air flow, not right
until I had time to take my dash apart to fix things...I had a designated pair of vise-grips clamping off the hose... later I forgot where the tool was...and then spent some time looking for it when I needed it for something else... typical...- XOLATEM

7.3idi clutch slave throw distance question
Have someone push the pedal to the floor while you are underneath and check for air gap opening up between the clutch disc and the pressure plate and/or the flywheel... I'd look for something along the lines of .035"-.050"...- XOLATEM

Stock radio not working
On my truck while I had the dash out I took the radio apart and cleaned the dust out of it...red dust...a lot of it... it still has a few quirks but I am ok with how it works...have not tried the cassette player at this time...I gotta FIND some tapes, first...have to figure out where I tucked...- XOLATEM

I just looked up what an International 1210 is... I am curious about what it took to swap in the 6.9...if and when I take out my good 6.9 and put in a turboed 7.3 I will be looking for a home for the 6.9...what transmission is mated up to it...? So what did you do with your truck today?
In a word, yes. I had the heads off a shortblock and I coated down the cylinders with WD-40 until I could get to taking the rest of it apart... Dumb me... Once I got it apart and took the old rings off and cleaned the pistons... To my amazement, shock, and horror...the ring lands were...- XOLATEM
