    I saw you added some more - thanks and yea something has to be up with the mechanical locking ring would be my first guess but the initial suspicion with this trans is the amount of play in the output shaft didn’t sit well with me.

    Bringing this thread back on topic - My 6.7 f350 has cup holders. They work great. The truck has 1,800 miles. The CEL is already on. Not my problem, fords problem. It’s a shame though because I paid all that money for cup holders and they are sitting in a service bay.

    Exactly what you said would do it. If you leave ignition on without fuel flow for even 20 minutes and feel the top of the IP it will be warm. That’s your solenoid crying.

    In a db2 if there isn’t correct internal fuel pressure will the plunger fully insert inside the coil? It gets warm when the solenoid is energized but the pump isn’t turned “pumping” fuel, but otherwise it’s fine. Key on ignition / to use electronics for extended periods is easy way to kill db2...

    No to preventative maintenance. Sometimes people cut them out and put a breakout fuse box in its place. I’ve done it both ways. Don’t feel strongly about either. Once I do blow link(s) though I replace with a fuse box.

    What kind of fitting for injector pump inlet?

    It’s 5/16 ORB with 1/2-20 thread and then the other side of the fitting you choose whatever you want. In your case 3/8 barb if you can find it, I like to use -6 AN and then put a 90 degree 3/8 barb. If you don’t want to mess with this, Russ sells a hard line delete kit.
