If you go more than a dime / dime and a half of timing it’s a good idea to loosen the injector lines from the injectors starting with the side your turning towards but usually need to undo both sides.
Thanks guys. Those are part of injection lines that I get. There are plenty of resellers of various levels of quality of those clamps. I’ve been loosely throwing around buying the ones I get in bulk and reselling them. They are not from China. Unpopular opinion but not that I think China is bad...
In a world where time didn’t exist I would take a 87-94.5 ford truck and swap 2016 super duty axles under it and a built turbo IDI. That’s because outside of the engine I value braking and handling which has undoubtly improved in 30 years especially if towing is involved.
I’ve been selling and...
That looks good, what diameter plate did you use? I like harbor freight. I wouldn’t currently buy a plasma from them though. The titanium line doesn’t have that great of support length and warranty by default. You can get a 50a Lotos off amazon for $249 and the support is good. I had a Hobart...
The same person also torqued the ps bolts to 100ft lbs with an impact. No worries though just ripped the pulley off. All because I wanted one of the metric bolts.
Which brand 110cc pump is this? You are saying your cooling temp sensor and gauge stay exactly at 180 no matter the condition? No fluctuation? Even going up a grade? I have my truck setup running cool and no cooling mod 130cc pump. IDIs can run up to 230f comfortably. But you shouldn’t have...
Hey all. I’m parting out this truck soon. It has a great condition OBS bed on it. I’m keeping the drivetrain but may sell one of the turbo kits and pumps.
Pretty much everything is new top to bottom. Front seat recovered. If anyone is interested in the bed, interior pieces let me know. The...
I believe IDI is SAE 3 and the 10 speeds behind the bigger cats are the FR/FRO series trans which are SAE 1 and SAE 2. Maybe there is a smaller 10 speed you are looking at? Not an area of my expertise but the model number would solve it definitely.
Bump with updated note in for sale section - this package was non negotiable in its current form, but I’m going to keep the second turbo kit and parts not on the truck. Consider it now negotiable. If no lucky buyer by end of October I’m going to strip the truck and it will go into other projects.

Unpopular opinion probably, but I need to start towing for distance and often and this is why I’m selling my truck. Will still do IDI for fun stuff. Turbo IDI can pull anything but stopping and handling have undeniably improved over the last 30 years.
It would be the same on the front and inner rear then I’m thinking? I guess that’s a benefit? Personally I’d just leave the front axle and run SRW wheels.
Yea the newer f450s I’m looking at the primary difference is the tracking between the f350 for example. Same axle different tracking length. They said it saves 7.5ft of turning radius.
I thought about using a c&c dually axle and moving the leaf spring perches inside the frame. Having drw fit under a SRW bed. This was done on GM c&c trucks in the 70s maybe into the 80s. Also done on custom stuff.
@chillman88 didnt like the idea lol. He’s lucky I have the bronco and demo derby...
Curious why do you guys want to touch the front axle? Generally ford does wide track front hubs on duallys technically because it decreases turning radius and also visuals. But that’s not a must. Just roll on a non-c&c axle under the back. Swap beds and swap leaf’s and hangers. If you’re unsure...
