    1987 Ford Landmark 6.9 diesel

It was a 220R/225R head with an R26 series filter. I got it cheap from a junkyard IDI. I ran the R26P filter, 30 mircon (not in that pic) https://www.dieselfiltersonline.com/rk20046-01-racor-repl-kit-head-npt.html?SID=tbckk9fh8tajfsikrocvblq9t6&gQT=2

    Air filter

I had to run the big IDI RV without cold air intake, due to how the ATS 085 air box lid not fitting in a van engine tunnel, and someone made a retaining ring for the filter. It seemed to run plenty cool enough without cold air intake. Make of that what you will. The blue van also has a filter...

    1987 Ford Landmark 6.9 diesel

I put a racor on the frame in the same spot as the missing water separator. You can see the original W/S plug on the left side.

    GV overdrive on CL

I paid a bit more than that for a 1980s new old stock one with the c6 adapter tailpiece and certain other parts (, speedometer cable etc). It cost me a bunch more for the missing parts and controller from GV. I need to get around to selling it, eventually. might be difficult, people around here...

    Where do I list an ‘86 F350

A 250cc Honda Helix scooter with a trike kit can do about 70mph WOT and get about 50mpg. I had one and got that. Had a 3cyl Geo Metro with 3spd AT and it would do about 70 tops too. Got 35mpg hwy even with a blown head gasket burning oil and coolant (but not mixing), but mostly coolant.

    Where do I list an ‘86 F350

Depends. The big IDI RV saved money with diesel despite the higher price, due to the single digit MPG. 25% better mpg (8.5 vs 6.5) when diesel doesn't cost 25% more.

    Where do I list an ‘86 F350

The best offer I have gotten on the van I'm trying to sell is 3k. Beginning to think that's the best I'll get, despite being turbo and E4OD. Might have to take that, rather than continuing to pay $75/mo full coverage insurance on it.

    G30HD is unibody too?

Hydroboost Saginaw pump? (a little off topic..)

Yeah but if there are errors in some parts fitment data, couldn't it be that's an error too? I wish I could find a PDF of the parts/part number book, like I found for 3rd gen Econoline. The FSM only seems to cover the regular van body. The cover says "G VAN" (and 1994). Here's a picture of the...

Hydroboost Saginaw pump? (a little off topic..)

Someone went crazy tightening down the two nuts for the MC to booster, so I had to use some wd40 and a small breaker bar to get them loose. The booster has signs of a leaking MC: rust/corrosion on the booster below the MC. It's rusty on the booster push rod too, but I don't see or feel any...

Hydroboost Saginaw pump? (a little off topic..)

Hm, make of this what you will. It's from my 94 G series FSM. The drawing is clearly a MC39309 style, with the nuts holding on the reservoir from underneath. It also shows HB return being dumped back into the top portion of the remote PS reservoir, so it didn't use a different pump, I guess...

Hydroboost Saginaw pump? (a little off topic..)

The ACDelco one that looks M39435 on the lid says it's for JB7 or JB8 depending on the vehicle but not for G series. https://www.1aauto.com/brake-master-cylinder-acdelco-18m230/i/acbmc00145

Hydroboost Saginaw pump? (a little off topic..)

M39435 (1.31) is shown for C/K/P/V but doesn't specify HB, only says "power" brakes. They don't do a good job with details, do they? https://www.dormanproducts.com/p-13237-m39435.aspx M39309 (1.25/34mm) is showing disc for some and drum for others. Yeah could be wrong...

Hydroboost Saginaw pump? (a little off topic..)

Regarding the wheel cylinders, it's the same one for both width shoes (2.5 & 3.5) if SRW, but different for DRW. I think maybe only DRW got HB, but I could be wrong. Bigger bore for DRW only.

Hydroboost Saginaw pump? (a little off topic..)

O'Reilly shows the same 2 style and lists the bores in inches. Again, it shows the HB one having a smaller bore. JB8 comes up as "BRAKE SYSTEM,HYDRAULIC POWER DISC,DRUM"

Hydroboost Saginaw pump? (a little off topic..)

The only two styles they show for these vans are the two separate lids plastic reservoir one for 2.5" rear drums (JB7, 8400lb system) or the metal lid one like MC39309 for 3.5" or DRW (which would be 9000+)...

Hydroboost Saginaw pump? (a little off topic..)

This reply shows screenshots from rockauto. https://www.oilburners.net/threads/hydroboost-saginaw-pump-a-little-off-topic.94268/post-1155078 Unless the data is wrong. That is possible. The Bendix pads are listed incorrectly. the 153 pads for 8400 say they are for 3.5 rear systems, and 149 says...

Hydroboost Saginaw pump? (a little off topic..)

The master cylinder bore is smaller for hydroboost, dunno about the cylinders/calipers, I haven't looked it up. The front calipers for heavy duty (9200lbs) are totally different, and cannot mount up to the lighter duty (8400lbs) setup this has, so there's no point looking up info about the...

Hydroboost Saginaw pump? (a little off topic..)

Gotcha. This one says 3.0-3.5gpm: https://www.borgeson.com/p-s-pump-for-hydro-boost-brake-applications?srsltid=AfmBOor6Tjskd1zFJQa9iUNrWOrg-8GWIP0xc3zmY0B0y9hpFfBgjT2D For some reason, some sites like Amazon claim 3.5-4gpm for that same pump, but I'll trust the maker's site that says 3-3.5...

Hydroboost Saginaw pump? (a little off topic..)

Oh and the port sizes are reversed on the proper MC for HB. The MC bore is smaller (34mm) vs vacuum booster (40mm). Easy enough to get adapter fittings to change the line ends for HB

Hydroboost Saginaw pump? (a little off topic..)

The plumbing is supposed to go from the pump to HB first, then to the steering gear, so HB should get the primary flow. The hoses I ordered state pump to hb, and hb to (steering) gear. I did read that it might be good to add a small oil cooler for the PS system to help with the extra load on...

Hydroboost Saginaw pump? (a little off topic..)

This is a little off topic, due to it being for the 94 GMC G3500 RV I'm switching to, but.. I figure it this is the best site to ask on. The van has a Saginaw pump, with a remote reservoir. And when poking around on rockauto, I found a hydroboost "booster" for $30 on closeout. (the last...

    Drive shaft play

Replace it ASAP. i had one that bad in morning. drove a couple hundred miles from Wyoming to Colorado and by then, it was banging if the rhythm was off. thankfully it didn't hurt anything. had a shop replace the carrier bearing and all was good.
