    Fuel Filter Heater 7.3 Info?

Hey fellas, anyone know the sizes of the two 0-rings that are in the fuel heater head? I have the Napa numbers but they only come in 10 packs and the size isn't listed on the packs. No local International dealers around me anymore so, looking to maybe get them up at my local hardware store...

    Champion radiators SUCK!!!!

I too keep ALL receipts! I'm not dealing with mail-order items that important and LARGE pulse the shipping cost, then it's their opinion as to warranty or not and the down time so, and even though a plastic tank will eventually fail too and when it does, Auto Zone or Advance will exchange it...

    Fuel Filter Heater 7.3 Info?

Thanks for the detailed reply...but I'm an oe kinda guy so I want to attempt to replace those two o-rings. On YouTube I have located a video and the fella states Napa has or can get the needed o-rings and the part numbers are BK727-2014 & BK727-2016 Of course when I call Napa tomorrow they...

    Champion radiators SUCK!!!!

Coincidence this topic came up as, my old brass-copper radiator is weeping but not enough to leave a mark. To have it repaired/recored is $600 = no way! I thought about Champion but no one local sells it so when it does fail I can't simply return it to a local store for the limited lifetime...

    Fuel Filter Heater 7.3 Info?

He fellas, it appears the heater plug atop my filter housing is beginning to weep just a bit. Since new (1988) I have never removed the electrical black plastic boot/cover and if I 'now' try to gently get under it, it feels like it will break into pieces. Does this black cover pop off as it...

    Dammit Need A Radiator!

Well, with my Vette many-many years ago it did develop a leak at the top hose connection into the tank. I pulled it, cleaned the area and braised in some solder with a torch...it held for a very long time but then developed a leak between the the two cores...how does one fix that? With my...

    Dammit Need A Radiator!

Thanks for the champion info and link...also knowing my old brass-copper is worth a few bucks at the scrap yard! Not working for 6 years (health issues) plus house insurance and the school bill sitting on the table makes for bad timing for a weepy radiator replacement. BTW...sent a question...

    Dammit Need A Radiator!

I was wondering why the pic looked so different...thought maybe it was just stretched. However below it does specify it is for my year make model and engine? "This product is a fit for your: 1988 Ford Truck F250 3/4 ton P/U 4WD 7.3L Diesel 8cyl Part Number: B1166 Alternate Part Number: CU1166"

    At TImes A Noist Injector???

That's just it, there's no reason when or why...hot or cold temps, damn thing sounds like a typewriter, I can run it for an hour and it's tapping away then it may go dead quiet. Restart it and it's quiet, then later that day it's hammering. But a heavy dose of TCW3 helps muffle the noise, this...

    At TImes A Noist Injector???

Are you referring to the return lines, like maybe if the inside rubber returns lines are breaking down...but doesn't the return line send unused fuel back to the fuel tank then, it's re-filtered once it hits the main fuel filter?

    At TImes A Noist Injector???

Ok, so back when I got the 'new' Delphi BB's I borrowed a pop-tester from a friend...he's 70 miles away. I never thought to listen to each one with a stethoscope which I do have. "could metal have gotten in one?" Well, I don't know how but again why would one injector 'at times' be tapping and...

    At TImes A Noist Injector???

Wow, you remember about my brother, well, May 17'th 2013 at 8am I received the call by brothers dismembered, disemboweled rotting remains were in two Rubbermaid containers since she murdered him August 3'rd 2007. I knew she murdered him but I had no idea how horrific the reality would be. Back...

    At TImes A Noist Injector???

At TImes A Noisy Injector??? Question, why at times would an injector become noisy...it almost sounds like a lifter-tap but I know it's an injector because when I add TCW3 to the fuel it gets quiet. And, at times even without the TCW3 added it will be quiet. I would think either an injector...

7.3 IDI Block Heater Cord Question

7.3 IDI Block Heater Cord Question

Thanks for the feedback fellas...I did notice the plug to wire exit and was wondering 'if' that would be an issue. On mine, where the wire exits the plug the insulating cover is cracked exposing the bare wire...so that's why I need to replace it. BTW...good to know I can remove the plug...

7.3 IDI Block Heater Cord Question

Looks close but??? I'll recall Kat's tomorrow hopefully a tech-rep can answer application fitment. Napa can also get the Kat's cord, but they have no idea if it will fit. http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/CatalogItemDetail.aspx/Engine-Heater-Power-Cord-KAT/_/R-KAT28400_0477754238 Looks like...

7.3 IDI Block Heater Cord Question

Anyone know if the below Kat's cord will work for a 7.3 IDI ? I know "Zerostat" has a replacement cord, but it's twice as much. Also, I'm hoping I can replace the 'cord' without pulling the starter? I tried to call Kat's...their closed today because of a dusting of snow (located in Tennessee)...

    Block heater

Unless you can drain the engine block (I couldn't) not a fun job...especially if doing it in the freezing temps. I had to drain the rad and then pulled the lower rad hose...I still got a wet arm and face (sucks) No way around it, the starter has to come out, and that's not too...
